Almighty God, whom truly to know is everlasting life: Grant us so perfectly to know your Son Jesus Christ to be the way, the truth, and the life, that we may steadfastly follow his steps in the way that leads to eternal glory; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Turn your gaze upon the One whom we pierced. Whose skin was ripped for us, hands and feet nailed for us, and in the darkness drinks the cup of wrath for us. For our sin, our sin, our most grievous sin! Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me, a sinner.

Maundy Thursday? Why the odd name? Maundy comes from the Latin word mandatum. Today was when our Lord gave us the commandment to love one another as He loves us. Dear Brothers and Sisters, love one another!

Mary loved much because she was forgiven much! Dear children of God, love our Lord Jesus much!

The Parable of the Virgins is one of the teachings that Jesus gave in the Temple on Tuesday. The ten virgins prepare for the arrival of the bridegroom, but he is delayed. We are told that 5 brought extra oil with them while the others did not. Foresight and planning help to make saints. People do not accidentally live holy lives. They plan on it!
What is interesting here in the story is that all ten fall asleep when the bridegroom is delayed! Even those who prepared got sleepy. When the hour of need came though, they found themselves ready to meet the bridegroom. Jesus warns us to count the cost of discipleship. Do you find yourself becoming tired in the service to Christ? It happens! The difference between those who fall by the wayside and those who persevere is that they have planned for the coming of the Bridegroom no matter the length of time. Father Cody Lang asked me ,when the Lord allowed our Fellowship to begin here, about my Sabbath rests. He was concerned that I was taking the time to be refreshed and prepared. Are you prepared or are you hoping that you can hang on long enough for our Lord’s return? Questions? Feel free to ask anytime.

Good morning and a blessed Lord‘s Day to everyone! Our Morning Prayer meeting will be canceled today as our home has the flu. If it is not snow and ice it is sickness. God is faithful though! We love you all and cannot wait to be in service with you all again!
