Hey Family and Friends, I'm asking for your support for my first heart walk. I'm walking in honor of my mom and dad. Who both suffered from different forms of heart disease and multiple heart attacks between the two of them. The Heart Walk is the American Heart Association's premiere event for raising funds to save lives from USA's #1 and #5 killers - heart disease and stroke.

Some people think getting closer to God is supposed to make you look more polished.

More put together.
More proper.
More impressive.
More “good.”

But honestly…

getting closer to God did not make me better at pretending.

It made me more honest.

Honest about what hurt me.
Honest about what I still struggle with.
Honest about the parts of me that still need healing.
Honest about the fact that I do not always have the right words, the right timing, or the right image.

God did not call me to perform holiness.
He called me to walk with Him in truth.

And truth does not always look polished.
Sometimes it looks like tears in the car.
Sometimes it looks like praying while overwhelmed.
Sometimes it looks like loving Jesus and still feeling like a work in progress.

That does not make your faith fake.
That makes it real.

Because some of the people closest to God
are not the ones pretending to have it all together.

They are the ones honest enough to say,
“I still need Him every single day.”
