First Presbyterian Church of Westerville

First Presbyterian Church of Westerville First Presbyterian Church is located at 41 W. College Avenue in Westerville. Worship is at 10:15 a.m. every Sunday. Please join us! We invite you to join us.

With beginnings in 1820, First Presbyterian has roots as old as Westerville itself. Yet our commitment to Christ’s work is as vibrant as the 21st century world in which we live. Our medium size makes us small enough to know each other but large enough to contribute significantly to the needs of the greater Westerville community and beyond. Fellowship, service to the church and community outreach a

re central to the life of First Presbyterian Church. We strive to be an open and welcoming congregation, inviting any and all who seek a closer relationship with Christ to join with us. We value the beliefs on which the Presbyterian church was founded; it is from this foundation that we seek to grow in faith. Yet, as individuals we comprise a wide variety of backgrounds and faith traditions that come together in worship and service as Christ’s faithful followers.

Tomorrow!!!✝️☀️

Early birds, this one is for you! Join us tomorrow on Easter Sunday for our sunrise service at 6:30 am!

Together we will share communion and reflect on the hope of Easter. Experience this sacred start to Easter morning.

Take the elevator or stairs to the second floor library. The east view will be beautiful as we watch the first light of morning and to celebrate that Christ as Risen! We hope to see you there!

Please join us at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in the Fellowship Hall for a luncheon and panel discussion honoring women born in the 1940s. Inspired by the life of Elizabeth Bradner, a Church member who recently passed away, we have invited a panel of women over the age of 80 to share stories of faith, family, work, challenge, and transformation.

Our gathering will serve as a fundraiser for the Church’s Mobility Assistance Program (MAP), which lends free medical equipment to anyone in need for as long as they need it.

There is no cost for this event. We warmly welcome guests of all ages—members of our Church and their friends—to attend for fellowship and reflection. Those who wish to support our Mobility Mission may do so with a donation of any amount, and those donations will be matched by Liz’s children.

Your presence and support will help restore independence, dignity, and freedom of movement to the people we serve.
Please RSVP through the QR code, or at the following link, to help us estimate numbers: https://tinyurl.com/Liz-luncheon.

We encourage you to attend, even if you have not RSVP-ed. The luncheon will follow a memorial service for Liz Bradner starting at 11 a.m. in the
Sanctuary. This is a separate event to which all are invited.

Tell us something good!!

As we gather for the first Sunday of Lent, we have lots to share!

This morning we rejoiced as new member Randy Wade was baptized, as well as welcoming two more new members, Ryan Kennedy and Elaine Zingg. We are so thankful to have them a part of our congregation and to continue to walk with us with Jesus.

We also are excited to share that Rev. Mark Gauen was declared Pastor Emeritus. We are forever grateful and thankful for his years of dedication and leadership for our church!

Following worship, members participated in the Annual Congregational Meeting, discussing 2025 highlights, church finances, thanking our deacons who no longer serve, and remembering those who we lost in 2025.

A special thank you to all those involved in the meeting and those behind the scenes, including Rev. Nancy, Scott Reichley, Ken Bonvallet, Sarah Brickersmith, Emma Laughlin and the numerous committees who have dedicated their time and effort to their reports.
