For 50 years, The Summit Lighthouse has published the Teachings of the Ascended Masters - the mystics and sages of East and West who have graduated from earth's schoolroom and attained union with God. A Witness of Elizabeth Clare Prophet and the Ascended Masters
“The first time I met Mother, she confirmed my mission, and that confirmation has stayed so deep in my heart. It was Christmas time 1976. Camelot was closing, and Mother had come to bless a sanctuary that was staying open in California. She invited each of us to put a straw in the manger of baby Jesus. As I walked up to the altar, our eyes locked into each other, and I felt a deep soul connection.

After the ceremony was over, Mother walked outside. I felt the urge to follow her, but my human reasoning was telling me that I didn't know her and had nothing to say to her. Still, I followed her and went and stood in front of her.

"I love you Mother," is all I could say.

"I love you too," she replied.

"I love you Mother," I said again.

"Yes, I love you too she said.” I could tell she was getting impatient for me to get to my point.

"I have a burden in my heart," I said.

"Why?" she asked.

"I have a burden for my people."

"What do you want to do with them?" she asked.

"I want to educate the children and the parents, and now that I know the teachings, I want to educate them with that too."
After I said that, Mother walked away. I couldn't bear it, so I followed right behind.

She turned around so solid, so strong in her eyes and her words came out like fire. "It is a wonderful work you are going to be doing over there," she said.

A few years later, Mother called me and said, "I want you to leave whatever else you are doing and come to the Ranch for a year. I will prepare you for your mission." I came to the Ranch and received the opportunity to learn about the most recent accelerated learning and Montessori techniques. Mother also told me one day that if you take the word "Ecuador" and move it around, you get the word "educador," Spanish for educator. The Many Roles of Lord Maitreya
Did you know that Lord Maitreya is the sponsor of twin flames? Yes, he was the guru of twin flames in the Garden of Eden, which was
a mystery school of the Brotherhood on Lemuria, near where San Diego is today. It was the first mystery school on planet Earth. On May 31, 1984, the long-awaited "Coming Buddha" came to once again open his Mystery School to usher in the New Age.

Maitreya is also the friend of all initiates of the sacred fire. When called upon, he will give the illumination of the Christ and the strength of the Word to pass the initiations that come under his sponsorship. He holds the title of Cosmic Christ and Planetary Buddha, and he became Lord of the World at a Royal Teton ceremony on January 1, 1956.

His retreat is in the Himalayas, and Maitreya maintains an etheric retreat over Tientsin, China, southeast of Peking (Beijing, called the Focus of Illumination. With Lord Gautama, he also teaches students seeking to graduate from earth’s schoolroom at the Eastern and Western Shamballa and at the Royal Teton Retreat.
Maitreya is worshiped in Tibet, Mongolia, China, Japan, and throughout Asia, where he is revered by Buddhists as "the Compassionate One" and as the “Coming Buddha.” While Maitreya is accepted by all Buddhists, he does take on a variety of roles in different cultures and religious sects. These roles include:
• the guardian and restorer of the Dharma
• intercessor and protector
• a guru who personally communes with, initiates, and teaches his devotees
• a messiah who descends when the world is in turmoil
• a messenger sent by the Divine Mother to rescue her children; and the Zen Laughing Buddha.

Buddhist scholar Evans-Wentz describes Maitreya as the "Buddhist Messiah, who will regenerate the world by the power of divine love, and inaugurate a New Age of Universal Peace and Brotherhood. They believe he is at present in the Tush*ta Heaven, whence He will descend and be born among men and become the future Buddha, to reveal anew, as did Gautama and the long Dynasty of past Buddhas, the Path leading to the Great Liberation."
In Chinese Buddhism, Lord Maitreya is sometimes portrayed as the "Hemp-bag Bonze." (A "bonze" is a Buddhist monk.) In his role, Maitreya appears as a plump, jolly, pot-bellied Laughing Buddha. He is often shown sitting and holding a sack, with happy children climbing all over him. To the Chinese, he represents prosperity, material wealth and spiritual contentment; the children represent the blessing of a large family.

Saint Germain Gave His Light
"So, beloved, I, Saint Germain, pledge to you my life, my love, my fortunes—yes, fortunes of light and jewels, I have placed before the Lords of Karma. I have received tremendous assistance and its promise from beloved Omri-Tas and so from Archangel Zadkiel and many others. I am profoundly humble before this and truly gratified, for I see the dawn, beloved, and I see the dawn of a new day." - Saint Germain

In the late 1700s, Saint Germain took over the role of Chohan of the Seventh Ray—the ray of mercy, forgiveness, and sacred ceremony-from the ascended lady master Kuan Yin. Later, in the early 1930s, he stepped forward again to launch a public initiative for the Great White
Brotherhood.

He reached out to his "general in the field," the reincarnated George Washington, and trained him to be a messenger. Writing under the pen name Godfré Ray King, this messenger published the core teachings of Saint Germain's New Age philosophy in three books: Unveiled Mysteries, The Magic Presence, and The "I AM" Discourses.

In 1961, Saint Germain connected with the messenger Mark L. Prophet, to found the Keepers of the Flame Fraternity. Saint Germain's goal was to awaken everyone who had originally traveled to Earth with Sanat Kumara. He wanted to help them remember their ancient vow and their true purpose today: to act as teachers and helpers for their families, communities, and nations during this critical cosmic transition.

Today, Saint Germain serves as the Knight Commander of the Keepers of the Flame Fraternity.

The Ancient of Days
In Chapter 7 of the Book of Daniel, the prophet sees a vision of the Ancient of Days — God Himself seated as the Supreme Judge over human history. The Ancient of Days in his vision represents the eternal, sovereign God whose authority is greater than that of every earthly ruler. Daniel also sees four terrifying beasts, representing powerful kingdoms that rise and eventually fall. The vision contrasts these temporary earthly kingdoms with the eternal kingdom of God, which endures forever. Within traditional biblical understanding, the Ancient of Days is associated with God the Father.

In the Ascended Masters' teachings, the Ancient of Days is Sanat Kumara, the Great Guru of the seed of Christ throughout the cosmos. During the time of the fourth root race, Earth reached a spiritual crisis. The first three root races had fulfilled their spiritual mission and ascended back to God, but humanity of the fourth root race had descended spiritually. The threefold flame—the spark of God within the heart-had gone out in the people of Earth.

Because there were no longer souls embodying the threefold flame, Cosmic Hierarchy determined that Earth could no longer fulfill its spiritual purpose and considered dissolving the planet. Rather than allow Earth and its evolutions to be destroyed, Sanat Kumara volunteered to come from Venus and hold the balance of the threefold flame for humanity.

Sanat Kumara established his retreat at Shamballa and anchored a ray of light from his heart as a thread of contact for each soul evolving upon Earth. Through this connection, he nourished and sustained the divine flame and assisted the Holy Christ Self of each individual to quicken the Christ consciousness. Through Sanat Kumara's presence and sacrifice, humanity was given additional time to awaken, rekindle the divine spark, and fulfill its spiritual destiny. Without his assistance, mankind en masse would have undergone the second death, and the planet itself would have been destroyed.

Sanat Kumara’s mission to Earth stands as an extraordinary act of service: sustaining the divine flame for humanity until mankind could once again sustain that flame for itself.

God’s Covenant With His People – The Davidic Covenant
God’s covenants are sacred promises and binding relationships established between God and humanity. The Davidic Covenant began around 3,000 years ago, about 1000 B.C.

THE DAVIDIC COVENANT – This covenant was made with King David and his royal line. God made an unconditional promise that David’s house, throne, and kingdom would be established forever (2 Samuel 7:12–16). This promise finds its ultimate fulfillment in Jesus Christ, a descendant of David whose kingdom is eternal.
The Davidic Covenant also represents the path of initiation and persecution experienced by the soul of Jesus Christ when he was embodied as David. The preparation of his soul for his final incarnation provides a path that others may follow.

In Psalm 22, David prophetically describes the suffering of the crucifixion, including the words, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?”—words Jesus would later speak from the cross.

This represents an initiation for those preparing to pass through the north gate of the City Foursquare and enter the path of the crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension. Step by step, the meaning of the crucifixion is revealed in advance so that the eyes of the soul may be opened. In this way, each person can understand the nature of the cup before them and freely choose whether or not to drink it.

**October 24 – Feast of Archangel Raphael**
*Remarkable Stories of Heaven's Great Healer*
Throughout the ages, Archangel Raphael has been known as the great healer of heaven. His name means “God has healed” or “the Medicine of God,” and his presence has brought healing, protection, and divine assistance to countless souls.

The ancient scriptures tell remarkable stories of his service to humanity. Jewish tradition tells us that Raphael revealed the healing properties of plants to Noah and was one of three archangels who visited Abraham on the plains of Mamre. It is believed that Raphael helped Sarah, Abraham's wife, receive the strength to conceive a child long after her childbearing years.

One of the most beautiful accounts of Raphael appears in the Book of Tobit. Disguised as an ordinary traveler, Raphael accompanies young Tobias on a dangerous journey, guiding and protecting him along the way. Through Raphael's assistance, Tobias finds a wife, overcomes a demon, and returns home with the means to restore his father's sight. Only at the end of their adventures does Raphael reveal that he is an angel sent by God. What appeared to be an ordinary journey had been guided by heaven all along!

Raphael's ministry is also closely connected with Mother Mary, his twin flame. When Mary incarnated on earth to become the mother of Jesus Christ, the Avatar of the Piscean age, Raphael remained in the angelic realm, overshadowing and assisting her throughout her sacred mission.

As the archangel of the fifth ray of truth, healing, wholeness, science, abundance, music, and mathematics, Raphael continues his divine service alongside Mother Mary. Together, they minister to hospitals throughout the world, inspire physicians and scientists with new discoveries and healing methods, and assist expectant mothers and fathers at inner levels in preparing to bring forth the Christ consciousness in their children.

Raphael's angels are master surgeons who work at the most subtle levels of the physical body. Raphael has described how they use a divine “laser technology” to pe*****te to the very core of a cell, expand the violet flame from within, and seal the cell in the healing thoughtform. What a magnificent gift of healing is available to us through the heavenly hosts!

On this October 24, the traditional feast day of Archangel Raphael, let us remember that we can call upon him not only for physical healing, but also for truth, guidance, protection, abundance, and wholeness. Whether we are facing illness, uncertainty, or a difficult journey in life, Raphael stands ready to answer our prayers and bring God's healing light into our lives.

The Statue of Freedom
The Statue of Freedom (sometimes connected with the classical imagery of the Roman goddess of liberty, Libertas) is the 19-foot-6-inch bronze statue that crowns the U.S. Capitol dome in Washington, D.C. Designed by American sculptor Thomas Crawford in Rome. The female allegorical figure holds a sheathed sword in her right hand and a laurel wreath and shield in her left. She wears a military helmet adorned with an eagle's head and feathers.

The original drawing for the new cast-iron dome and its crowning monument was drafted in 1855 by Thomas U. Walter, a prominent Freemason who served as the Architect of the Capitol. He initially sketched a classical female figure holding a staff topped with a liberty cap, setting the groundwork for the sculpture Crawford would eventually refine. This statue represents the Goddess of Freedom, a cosmic being and an ascended master, who is the feminine aspect of the quality of freedom to the earth.

Saint Germain says of freedom:

“So, beloved, it is time to understand that unless the flame of freedom burns brightly-and that means you must fuel it and fan its fires—it will be snuffed out in the earth. It is time for you to review modern and ancient history, to remind yourselves that it was not
many centuries ago that you had very little freedom to move about or to rise above the class into which you were born. This still holds true for the peoples of many nation-states today.

Do not take for granted, then, what I have dearly won for you, what the Goddess of Liberty has dearly won for you, what the Goddess of Freedom, the Lords of Karma and the Fourteen Ascended Masters Who Govern the Destiny of America have dearly won for you. That you have the freedom to be freedom fighters, beloved, is a relatively recent development in earth's history, and also that millions can join this cause as Keepers of the Flame of the Goddess of Liberty because they have freedom of religion.

Yes, beloved ones, it is because others have fought and died to make this nation free that religious freedom is guaranteed to you in this hour and you are free to fulfill your dharma, to pursue your calling in life, to champion the Teachings of the Ascended Masters. Yes, you are free to come together in this holy mountain of God to give your decrees without being stopped by the gestapo, by Communist soldiers, … or any individual or group who has moved to put down the religions of the world that extol whether the living Christ or the living Buddha or the living God.”

Karma and Reincarnation
Teachings of the Ascended Masters
Karma and reincarnation are core ideas from ancient Indian religions like Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. Karma means action and its cause-and-effect result, while reincarnation means the soul or consciousness is reborn into a new body after death.
Together, they form a continuous cycle of life, death, and rebirth.

The ascended masters teach that since it is often not possible to reap all of our harvests in one lifetime, the law of karma is fulfilled through the corollary law of reincarnation. Reincarnation is God’s mercy that allows us to reap the harvest of our past sowings here on earth instead of consigning us prematurely to “heaven” or “hell,” when we are ready for neither, and we still have things to do on earth.
Reincarnation gives us the opportunity to learn the lessons that our returning karma, good and bad, teaches us with its exacting discipline. Then free will allows us to choose to capitalize on our harvest of talents and good works and to pay the debt for, or “balance,” our misuses of God’s light, energy and consciousness.
Karma can bring boon and blessing to those who have sown well according to the golden rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” But to those who have sown the bad seed of selfishness and self-love (as we all have in one lifetime or another) karma is a taskmaster—exacting every jot and tittle of the law till all be fulfilled.
Yet, even when karma as the great initiator comes knocking at our door, we may still choose not to make things right and go on violating the rights of others as we freely use and abuse God’s energy.
But we cannot get away with it forever. The cosmic law of compensation will not allow it. For God, inasmuch as he embodies his law of karma, will not be forever mocked: Either we cast ourselves upon the Rock of Christ and allow our negative momentums to be broken, else, as it is written, the Rock of Christ as the avenger of our karma will grind us to powder.

The Mantles of Elizabeth Clare Prophet
Elizabeth Clare Prophet (1939–2009) served as a Messenger of the Great White Brotherhood, carrying forward the spiritual mission begun by Mark L. Prophet. Throughout her ministry, she received several sacred mantles that reflected her service to God, the ascended masters, and the spiritual evolution of mankind.

Messenger of the Great White Brotherhood (1964)
Trained by Mark L. Prophet, Elizabeth Clare Prophet received the mantle of Messenger, delivering dictations from the ascended masters through the power of the Holy Spirit. She devoted her life to bringing these teachings to the world.

Mother of the Flame (1966)
On April 9, 1966, Elizabeth received the mantle of Mother of the Flame, succeeding Clara Louise Kieninger, the first Mother of the Flame. This sacred office is dedicated to nurturing and protecting the divine flame within God's children and helping souls realize their divine potential.

Vicar of Christ (1973)
Following Mark Prophet's transition, Elizabeth was anointed Vicar of Christ on July 2, 1973. This mantle represented her spiritual authority to serve Christ and guide Church Universal and Triumphant in fulfilling its divine mission.

Guru Ma (1977)
On July 2, 1977, the ascended master Padma Sambhava bestowed upon Elizabeth the mantle of Guru and the name Guru Ma. Through this office, she served as a spiritual teacher, guiding chelas along the path of personal Christhood, self-mastery, and the ascension.

Mother
Elizabeth was affectionately known as Mother by her students and Keepers of the Flame, gaining this shortened title after being named Mother of the Flame. The name expresses her devotion to the Divine Mother and her loving commitment to nurturing the spiritual growth of God's children.

Beyond these sacred offices, Elizabeth Clare Prophet was a prolific author, international lecturer, and spiritual teacher. Through her books, lectures, and thousands of hours of recorded teachings, she brought the wisdom of the ascended masters to seekers around the world.

Her enduring legacy is one of devotion to the Divine Mother, service to the ascended masters, and dedication to helping every soul discover the divine flame within.

The I AM Presence - Who You Truly Are
The I AM Presence, also called the Mighty I AM Presence, is the individualized Presence of God focused for every soul. It is your eternal and permanent reality—your personalized, immortal, and completely pure divine identity. Your I AM Presence is your own unique, individualized spark of God. It is your personal God-identity and belongs exclusively to you.
The I AM Presence continually sends light and life energy through the crystal cord to sustain you and assist the evolution of your soul.
The I AM Presence and the soul are not the same. God is Spirit, while the soul is the living potential of God. Through free will and separation from God, the soul descended into the human condition. Her spiritual journey is to rise again into the fullness of her divine potential and ultimately become one with Spirit.
The soul, therefore, is evolving and has the potential to become fully God-realized. The I AM Presence is already whole and perfect in God. The soul can be lost; Spirit can never die.
While our human personality changes from lifetime to lifetime and the soul evolves along her spiritual path, the I AM Presence remains our eternal divine identity—the Presence of God individualized for each one of us.
