Faith - the Lutheran Church of Westchester, Illinois LCMS Church
Pastor - Reverend David L. Prentice Jr. Deacon - Tim Graves Our worship is a celebration of the victory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The saving action of God through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is proclaimed to us through the Word of God. In and through that Word we celebrate our Lord opening the gates of heaven for us through His life, death, and resurrection. Our Church does not gather in worship to commemorate the "late departed" Jesus, but to witness to the resurrection of our Lord by proclamation, preaching,

prayer, thanksgiving, and the sacraments celebrated and administered. Jesus Christ is in our midst according to His Promise.

Join Faith - the Lutheran Church of Westchester, Illinois this Sunday as we celebrate Palm / Passion Sunday. We have done this in the past, a reading of the Passion, drawn from the four Gospels is on deck for our Divine Service.

And an added bonus, a Baptism will occur.

Of the baptism of children we hold that children ought to be baptized. For they belong to the promised redemption made through Christ, and the Church should administer it [Baptism and the announcement of that promise] to them. (Smalcald Articles).

Goodies to follow the 9 am service.

Keep in touch with us:

Christ is Risen! Risen indeed! Alleluia!

A reminder for all those inclined today and tomorrow, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day...
First of all...Blessed Christmas to all...
Secondly, join us at Faith - the Lutheran Church of Westchester, Illinois as celebrate tonight with Christmas Cheer at 6 pm (some goodies and drink, with some festive carols too), the Service of Carols and Scripture begins at 7 pm.
Then Christmas Day, a Divine Service with Eucharist celebrated at 9 am.
As the writer of Hebrews tells us, Jesus came for this very reason, "to make purification for sins". Period. God Himself dwelled with us, to die for us, rise on the 3rd day (death defeated), then ascend to the Father, to prepare a place for us.
That's our Christmas Joy!
