Evening begins at 7:00pm with veneration of a first class relic of St. Anthony of Padua. Rosary at 7:30pm. Mass at 8:00pm. Receive a blessing with the relic at the end of the night.

Director Fr. Anthony Stanganelli will celebrate Mass and bless us with a relict of St. John the Evangelist.

Preghiera a Santa Scolastica per la protezione dalle tempeste.

San Benedetto e Santa Scolastica erano fratello e sorella. Santa Scolastica è patrona delle tempeste e del maltempo. Perché? La notte prima di morire, suo fratello la visitò e stavano conversando serenamente. Quando egli si alzò per andarsene, lei gli chiese di restare. Egli rifiutò, perché non voleva infrangere la propria regola che proibiva ai monaci di trascorrere la notte fuori dal monastero. Santa Scolastica pregò Dio affinché suo fratello potesse rimanere. Improvvisamente si scatenò una tempesta e San Benedetto non poté partire. Tornò al suo monastero il mattino seguente. Più tardi, quello stesso giorno, vide l’anima di sua sorella salire al cielo sotto forma di colomba.

PREGHIERA
Padre celeste, umilmente cerchiamo l’intercessione della vergine Santa Scolastica, patrona delle tempeste e del maltempo. Come un tempo Ella Ti supplicò, o Signore, di suscitare una tempesta per trattenere e proteggere suo fratello, San Benedetto, così ora Ti chiediamo le sue preghiere per proteggerci dalle tempeste che minacciano le nostre vite e le nostre case. Per la grazia di Gesù Cristo, Tuo Figlio, e sotto la guida dello Spirito Santo, possiamo trovare rifugio nella Tua presenza ed essere custoditi da ogni male. Nell’amore della Beata Vergine Maria, Madre di Dio, Ti chiediamo protezione e misericordia. Amen.
