Three Hail Marys for Peace in the World

O Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Peace, we come before you this day and entrust the world to your loving intercession. Through these three Hail Marys, we ask you to obtain from your Divine Son the grace of peace for all nations.

First Hail Mary – For an end to war

For all nations torn by war and violence, especially in places of great conflict, that the Lord may touch the hearts of leaders and bring an end to bloodshed.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee…

Second Hail Mary – For reconciliation among peoples

For healing between nations, cultures, and religions, that hatred and division may be replaced with understanding, dialogue, and forgiveness.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee…

Third Hail Mary – For peace in every heart and home

For peace in families, communities, and in every human heart, that we may become instruments of God’s peace in the world.

Prayer for Peace

Regarding the ongoing wars in the Middle East, Pope Leo XIV asked priests to immediately open the doors of churches and invite people to recite the Holy Rosary and pray with humility before the Eucharist. The American Pope asked the faithful to go to their churches or to the nearest church to pray. The Pope also issued a warning to the world, saying: "The wars in the Middle East, and now also in Ukraine and Crimea, will become very serious and will spread. To stop them, we must pray to God to fill the world with His mercy and for the Holy Spirit to enlighten the rulers so that they may have the knowledge of good and evil and fight together for peace and love." Pope Leo XIV also asked priests to celebrate the Divine Liturgy with simplicity and love, renewing his appeal to all Christians: "Pray, pray, pray, united in prayer every day. Wherever you are in the world, at any time you prefer, leave everything behind and pray to God to send His Holy Spirit to earth!"

Pray the Lord's Prayer three times and the Hail Mary three times. A prayer for God to send His Holy Spirit to earth.

We must trust in God and remember that prayer has power.
