Joe Sudan’s, Priest in Charge at Grace Episcopal Church in Honesdale,PA is involved in the Catholic Heart Work camp and co-manager of the Kings College Camp. Father Joe S reached out to Trinity to assist in their summer camp activities.
The camps mission is to offer a variety of mission trip experiences designed to give young youth safe and uplifting environment to serve our community. Trinity had the honor of the amazing group of five teenagers who came from Lancaster, PA and as far as Illinois to work both in and outside over the hot and smoky Canadian summer days over the past week.
Father Joe Rafferty and the adult chaperones of the summer camp, Dave and/or Tom engaged in the start of the activities on Tuesday afternoon.
Wednesday morning Trinity Church members Mike, Sandra, and Helen with the five youth and Trinity’s own youth Nate accompanied by the chaperones, got right into the thick of it working over six hours on the start of the activities. The crew did so much work and such a great job they were treated to pizza for their hard work.
Accompanied by their chaperones on Thursday, with Church members Mike and Donnie they were still ready to beat the heat and smoke and a complete another five hours of hard work .They were even treated to hoagies on a well-deserved lunch break.
The family of the youth should be proud. They were all extremely respectful, open minded, hard-working, and willing to engage in conversation. It was nice to see kids out in the environment, helping the time and energy that was put into making Trinity look incredible can never be forgotten.
The leaders went out of their way to help buy dedicating their time, equipment, trades, as well in helping out Trinity.
We cannot thank Father Joe Sudano and Father Joe Rafferty for bringing this youth group together at Trinity. Tom, Dave, Bridget, Kaydence, Alex, Jensen, Balema & Nate thank you for your hard work, dedication, and enjoyment you brought with you.
