This morning, the ladies of Locust Grove Baptist Church laughed together, fellowshipped together, were challenged together, served together… and maybe that’s the point—we were together.

And wow, it felt so good.

Churches go through seasons. Sometimes thriving seasons, sometimes stretching seasons, sometimes quiet seasons that no one really talks about openly. But by God’s grace, we believe this is a season of starting again. A season of rolling up our sleeves and stepping fully into what God has called us to do: to be the Church and to reach the lost.

The church needs women.
Our homes need women.
Our culture desperately needs biblically strong women.

So we took Pastor Brent’s encouragement to heart—to be active in our callings and engaged as the body of Christ—and we simply started again.

This morning our theme centered around gifts. We gathered around Scripture, learned from one another, reflected through spiritual gift assessments, and were reminded that every woman has a place and purpose in the kingdom of God.

There was joy in the room. There was honesty in the room. There was expectancy in the room.

And perhaps most beautifully, there was unity.

We are so excited to be together again, and this truly feels like just the beginning. 🤍

We're back!!! Are you excited to worship tomorrow? After two weeks of bad weather we are excited to be back in person tomorrow morning to continue our journey through the Lord's Prayer as we learn how to pray Focused Prayers.
