As we approach a busy time of year regarding children’s and youth ministry, let us be encouraged in the Psalms.

“One generation shall praise thy works to another, And shall declare thy mighty acts.” Psalm‬ ‭145‬:‭4‬ ‭

Adults: you get to brag on Jesus to the next generation and proclaim
all that He has done for you.
You GET TO!
This is a divine privilege and one that you are invited to do by serving in VBS, Bible Camp, Sunday School, Children’s Church, and in many other ways.
The days might feel long, but these opportunities to minister to the next generation are well worth the time!

We appreciate your sacrifice and dedication to declaring His mighty acts to the next generation!

When in an unfamiliar area, have you ever gotten directions from someone who has lived in an area for a long time? They might refer to a certain person’s property or where “that old barn was” as they give you directions to your anticipated destination. Those terms are lost on you, because you’ve never traveled that way before.

Technology fails us when our trusty GPS sends us the wrong way down a one way street or leads us to an area that’s closed for construction.
GPS confidently states “rerouting” as it searches for a way to get you back on track.

God’s Word is our most trusted roadmap. The instructions within its pages are the foolproof way to success. It can be trusted and should be followed.
Follow Jesus. He is the Word made flesh. He will never steer you wrong.

“He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: But he that refuseth reproof erreth.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭10‬:‭17‬ ‭

“Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭16‬:‭13‬

Have you ever read a verse and really thought “what?”?
This could very well be one of those.

“Quit yourselves like men” means real men aren’t afraid and don’t give up in adversity.

Christians are to be like strong soldiers, on guard, watching for the Lord’s return.

These military terms implore the Corinthians to be brave and to not be caught off guard by the enemy.

It should warn us in the same way!

Stand strong in the faith - get organized and stay in your ranks! Keep your troops unbroken! Stick close together!

When you are attacked, resist and press forward. Stay close to one another and to God. Get in your Bible!

When you’re not sure what scripture means, pray about it and dig deeper in the Word. Seek Godly counsel and don’t be afraid to ask!
