Have you ever had a toothache ache or been in some kind of pain, that you called the doctor's office to try and get an appointment. After describing how much pain you're in, they probably told you that we are booked, but just come on in and wait, and we will work you in. After doing so and waiting, you might have even been the last patient they seen that day, but they finally worked you in. You had no idea how long you would have had to wait.
This is a picture of how we treat.God concerning His will for our lives. God, you just come into my life, and I will work you in. There are so many things, and so many other people that's ahead of you. I will get to you when I can. And more times than not, He is the last one on our list.
His will no longer takes prominence and priority in our lives. Oh, we still say it with our mouth, but that's about as far as it gets. We are willing to do whatever He says until....
Somebody makes us mad.
A better opportunity to make money.
A new relationship.
People stopped recognizing us for our labors.
It's no longer comfortable, or it costs too much
These are just a few things that stops the will of God in our lives. Only you can answer on apersonal level what's keeping you.
We hear people say God wants us to be happy.God wants us to live comfortably. It's true God does want his children to be happy. And there is no sin in enjoying the comforts of life that God has blessed us with. The problem is that we are allowing those comforts come at the cost of the will of God.
What would it look like for you to 100% answer and fulfill the will of God in your life?
