Last week we wrapped up our Sunday School year with our End of the Year Sunday School Party! 🎉 The kids received some awesome awards along with a devotional book to take home and continue growing in their faith this summer. If you were unable to attend, we will make sure to get your awards and devotional books to you! ❤️
At the end of each year, we love looking back at everything our kids and youth learned, experienced, and accomplished throughout the Sunday School season and what a year it has been! We are so proud of all of our children and youth for making time to grow their faith, build friendships, serve others, and learn more about God even with all of the other activities and busy schedules they have throughout the year. Parents, you deserve recognition too for making church, Sunday School, and youth activities a priority for your families. Great job everyone! ❤️
✨ 2025 - 2026 Sunday School and Youth Recap ✨
We kicked off the year with our Sunday School party and spent the fall learning through our “Change of Heart” series with stories like Saul becoming Paul, Jonah and the Whale, David seeking forgiveness, and the Prodigal Son. We focused on thankfulness in November, prepared for Christmas with our “Let’s Check In” Christmas program, explored the miracles of Jesus in January and February, learned about what it means to be Methodist in the spring, and wrapped up the year talking about famous moms in the Bible and ways to grow our faith over the summer.
Throughout the year, our kids participated in our prayer partner events (fall crafts, gingerbread houses, nursing home baskets, Easter trivia and stained glass crafts, and our end of the year celebration). They also shared their talents by singing in church 7 different times during the year, helping lead worship and sharing songs like Build a Boat, Way Maker, Dusty Bibles, and many more.
Our Youth Group stayed busy all year long with Sunday School and Wednesday night activities including movie nights, a MercyMe concert, bowling, caroling at the nursing home, Valentines Dinner skit practices and performances, a Musketeers hockey game, pottery and pizza night, and more.
SWAG (K-6th youth group) events included swimming, a fall extravaganza, and a trip to see the movie David at the Majestic.
Most importantly, we watched our kids and youth grow in their faith, confidence, friendships, kindness, and willingness to serve others. Thank you to all of the volunteers, teachers, parents, prayer partners, youth leaders, and families who helped make this year so special. We are so blessed by this church family and cannot wait for next year! ❤️
