We kicked off Shabbat in Camp style with Omri Shklar, the Israeli song leader from Camp Eisner and Camp Crane Lake, and Kona Ice brought the sweet goodies! 😋

Not only is it back to school season in the secular world, it’s also back to school season at Temple Shir Tikva! Alison and Jenna led our Hineini Faculty Orientation this morning, and we were lucky to welcome Omri Shklar to lead our faculty and our TST choir in a beautiful Tefillah session for part of the morning. Omri also spent some time with our teachers in meaningful conversation about Tefillah leadership. We are so excited to welcome our pre-K-6th grade community back for our first day on Sunday, September 27th — it’s going to be a great year!

This Friday is almost here!

We can't wait to welcome back Israeli song leader Omri Shklar for services this Friday, August 28 at 6:15 PM, fresh off his summer leading services at Crane Lake Camp in the Berkshires.

Before services, join us at 5:15 PM for a community barbecue to celebrate the end of summer — complete with KONA ICE for dessert! A great way to send off the season together.

We recap what’s been going on, including Cape Cod, Broadway, and a BTS concert, chat about THE PAVILION, the new baby group, and the return of Marissa Kaye, and do a little math when it comes to the length of the day according to traditional Judaism. High Holy Day and End-Of-Summer BBQ prep continues apace; Dan admits to getting a fact massively wrong not once, but twice, on the July podcasts; we have a new favorite nickname– “Zach of Potatoes”; and we learn how Talia did not have the best time at the NASCAR race in New Hampshire.
