I heard the Holy Spirit say, "bring it to the altar again."
There are things you laid down before God that the enemy is attempting to place back into your hands.
Old mindsets.
Old wounds.
Old offenses.
Old compromises.
Things that once held you captive and things Jesus already delivered you from.
There are familiar battles and familiar voices attempting to reintroduce themselves into your life.
The whisper of rejection.
The sting of offense.
The temptation of lust.
The pull of compromise.
The voice of inferiority that tells you that you are less than what God says you are.
But the Spirit of the Lord says, "do not come into agreement with what I have already broken off of you."
Just because the temptation has returned does not mean the bo***ge has returned.
Just because the thought has resurfaced does not mean the chain has been reattached.
The enemy is looking for your agreement.
He is looking for you to pick up what God told you to leave on the altar.
The Lord is calling His people back to a lifestyle of continual surrender.
The altar is not merely a place where you died once.
The altar is a place where you continue to die daily.
Every day the flesh must be crucified.
Every day pride must be crucified.
Every day offense must be crucified.
Every day self will must be crucified.
Every day we lay our lives before the Lord and say, "not my will, but Yours be done."
It is time to bring those familiar spirits to the altar again.
Bring the bitterness back.
Bring the insecurity back.
Bring the secret struggle back.
Bring the fear back.
Bring the addiction back.
Bring the compromise back.
Do not try to manage what God is calling you to sacrifice.
Do not pet what God told you to put to death.
Do not negotiate with what Jesus shed His blood to free you from.
The fire of God still falls on surrendered sacrifices.
I see many believers standing at a crossroads.
In one direction is the comfort of old patterns.
In the other direction is the refining fire of God.
The flesh wants comfort, but the Spirit is calling for consecration.
Do not pick up the chains that were broken off of you.
Do not return to the prison you were delivered from.
Do not make peace with the very thing that kept you from your destiny.
Every time the enemy offers you the old nature, take it back to the altar.
Every time rejection knocks on the door, take it back to the altar.
Every time offense tries to take root, take it back to the altar.
Every time compromise calls your name, take it back to the altar.
Lay it down again.
Surrender it again.
Die to it again.
And let the fire of the Holy Ghost consume it again.
Because the Lord is looking for a people in this hour who refuse to return to Egypt after tasting the Promised Land, a people who refuse to trade freedom for familiarity, a people who would rather burn on the altar than live in agreement with the flesh.
What you keep surrendering, He will keep sanctifying.
What you keep placing in His hands, He will keep transforming.
Do not grow weary in the dying process, for resurrection power follows every crucifixion.
