Today we celebrate a truly special woman, our receptionist, Wendy Scheffel!
Today marks Wendy’s 35th anniversary serving as Bridge’s receptionist. A milestone that reflects her incredible dedication and faithfulness.
For more than 50 years, Wendy has been a cherished part of our church family, pouring her life into countless ministries including nursery, Sunday School, children’s ministry, and girls ministry.
Her and her husband have raised three sons, Chris, Anthony, and Nick to love and serve the Lord, and now enjoys watching that legacy continue through her grandchildren.
So many families have been touched by her thoughtful acts of kindness, whether through a birthday card, a special note at camp, remembering important moments, or simply making others feel seen and loved.
Wendy, thank you for the countless ways you have poured into, served, and blessed our church family over the years. Your faithfulness and love for people have made an eternal difference. We are so grateful for you and celebrate you today! ❤️

In a world chasing recognition, God is still honoring faithfulness.

Hur may only get a small mention in Exodus 17, but his quiet obedience helped secure victory for Israel. While Moses stood on the mountain, Hur simply held up his arms when he grew tired. No spotlight. No applause. Just faithful service.

And maybe that’s you.

The parent showing up every single day.
The volunteer serving behind the scenes.
The friend carrying someone else through a hard season.

Colossians 3 reminds us that when we serve faithfully, we’re not working for people, we’re serving the Lord. God sees every unseen sacrifice, every hidden act of kindness, every moment you hold someone else up.

Some of the greatest impact in God’s kingdom happens in places nobody else notices.
