Through good kings and evil kings, God keeps his covenant forever. He is trustworthy.

"I'm calling on the God of Jacob
Whose love endures through generations
I know that You will keep Your covenant

O Rock, O Rock of ages
I'm standing on Your faithfulness
On Your faithfulness"
- Same God, Elevation Worship

While leading worship on Sunday, I sensed the Holy Spirit in a very personal and powerful way. As we sang “How Great Thou Art,” I thought about people from our church who had chosen that song before they passed away, and I realized we were still praising God after their passing. At the same time, my job has gone through many changes this past year, so I’ve been praising during uncertainty, and now I’m entering another new season where I don’t know what to do, so I’m learning to praise before what’s ahead too. It was incredibly comforting, and I’m always blessed to stand on the stage and see our church worship together through all that is happening in our lives. Let us continue to seek help from the Lord first — before, during, and after all things. 2 Chronicles 20:18-19, 21-22, 26-28 ~ Joel Bouwers

This week’s message reminded me that true rest is not just the absence of stress, but the presence of God. In Asa’s story, peace came when the people sought the Lord and removed the things that pulled them away from Him. I was challenged by the idea of intentionally creating space for rest through obedience, trust, and community. It encouraged me to think about what distractions or burdens I may need to lay down in order to experience deeper rest in Christ.
