UPDATE 9/29/26
Dear Customer,
This is an update notification from New Jersey American Water. Our crews continue to make repairs to the main and have restored water pressure to your area. This afternoon, our Water Quality Team retrieved water samples from the distribution system. Once samples are evaluated, which takes approximately 24 to 48 hours, if water meets quality standards, we will lift the Boil Water Advisory at that time.Until then, we want to remind you that the Boil Water Advisory is still in effect for Franklin Township, Mansfield Township, Washington Borough and Washington Township in Warren County. Any water to be used for drinking or cooking should be brought to a rolling boil for 1 minute. Water is OK for bathing, washing, and other common uses. You will receive another notification should additional action be required, conditions change, or when normal water use may be resumed.
---------------------------------------------------
Yesterday (9/28/26) there was a water main break in Washington Borough. While there are only about 25 houses with no water at all, a boil water advisory was enacted from New Village to Port Murray. This advisory is still in place and will be until this evening at least.

If you need safe water please reach out!
