Hello BUMC & Belvidere Community! In May at Annual Conference Pastor Janice was appointed to the Commission on the Status and Role of Women for GNJ, below is information on our first event!

The GNJ Commission on the Status and Role of Women (COSROW) will be hosting Rebuilding the Village on Saturday, September 26th from 10-2PM. Through storytelling and reflection, we hope to explore ways we have experienced villages; how we have shown up in support of one another, how we have failed one another, and how we can take steps together to Rebuild the Village together. Registration will begin at 9:30am, follow by Coffee Fellowship, the program will begin at 10. This event will be held at the Mission Resource Center in Neptune, NJ.

Today we welcomed back Reverend Vicki Brendler, a guest pastor, as we continue to celebrate the church’s 200th Anniversary.
Rev. Brendler served BUMC in the 1990s.
Her captivating sermon included the Parable of the Push-ups and the Donuts. Watch today’s livestream service to learn the spiritual message behind this fascinating story.
Appropriately, donuts were offered to the congregation as a tasty treat to complement Rev. Brendler’s homily.
Thank you Reverend Brendler! It was so nice to see you again.
Looking forward to seeing you at the anniversary banquet in October.

On another note—
Liz Burkat, Editor-in-Chief, of the church’s newsletter, The Town Crier, has relinquished her duty after ten years of service.
Pastor Janice presented Liz with a small token of appreciation for her service to the church.
Thank you Liz for producing such an informative and exceptional publication for so long. Now you will have more precious time to enjoy your hobbies, including your favorite cross-stitch sewing.

Courtenay Haupin was introduced as she will continue after Liz.

BELVIDERE Wellness Alliance and Community Center at BELVIDERE ( working with Warren County Stigma Free) delivered’Goodie Baskets’ for the 2026 - 2027 School Year to Stephanie Quinn (School Counselor at White Township Elementary School), Dr. Jessica McKinney (Principal at BELVIDERE Elementary School), and Chris Karabinus (Principal at BELVIDERE High School)
