Jones, II in his pastorate of the Pilgrim Baptist Church, a 700 member church located in the Capitol Hill section of the Nation’s Capital. Jones, Sr., and son in ministry of the late Dr. E.V. Hill of the Mount Zion Baptist Church in Los Angeles, California, where Pastor Jones was licensed and ordained to the work of the gospel ministry. Pastor Jones is a Masters of Theology recipient of Eastern (P

almer) Theological Seminary in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania. A Pastor with a heart for Missions, he is a member of the Lott Carey Pastoral Excellence Team who has having traveled to mission fields in Jamaica, Guyana and South Africa. With his belief in entrepreneurship, he has been the catalyst that led his congregation to purchase commercial and residential property in the area which now values at over $10 million dollars. He has worked diligently to grow the church membership spiritually and numerically. Jones has served in numerous leadership capacities and currently holds the position of President of the Ministerial Alliance, Inc., 1st Vice President of the Eastern Region for the Progressive National Baptist Convention, Inc., Chairman of Home Missions for the Baptist Convention of D.C. and Vicinity, Chairman of the Board - Nannie Helen Burroughs Scholarship Fund; Board of Directors, Nannie Helen Burroughs School; Board of Directors, Eastern Theological Seminary, Lynchburg, Virginia. Just recently Pastor Jones was named a member of the Board of Directors for the Alliance for Retired Americans, a nationwide organization of more than 3 million members focusing on issues affecting seniors. Jones is married to Michelle Frances and is the father of five children and eleven grand children rides a Harley and plays golf to relax. Pastor Jones is a called, prepared, willing and anointed man of God whose current ministry focus is taking his church to a level of being Pastor led and leadership driven!

Join us tonight for our annual Can We Talk? A Community sharing of Trauma and Healing. This two-hour session will serve as a safe space to be vulnerable with your peers. This is not a worship service or religious meeting.

We will have dinner in the Lower Fellowship Hall beginning @ 6pm, followed by the session in the sanctuary beginning at 7pm.
