DAILY MESSAGE: “See and Listen…..”

For they look, but they don't really see. They hear, but they don't really listen or understand. (NLT) Matthew 13:13

God speaks to us all the time, but we're not always ready to listen. We see and listen through advice from other Godly people, reading the Bible, and prayer. If you're in need of God's wisdom, focus on seeing, not just looking; focus on listening, not just hearing. Sow these behaviors now and reap the rewards of peace and grace.

DAILY MESSAGE: “Choose Grace…..”

Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone. (NLT) Colossians 4:6

The words we choose in our everyday conversations tell the most about who we are. If we choose a harsh tone and unkind words, it’s going to be hard for those around you to see God’s grace at work in your life. When we speak harshly it also makes it hard for those who love you to see you as a cherished child of God. Often resulting in others responding to us with negativity. This is why it’s so important for us to choose grace in the way we communicate. Be the one who ends the cycle of negativity in your relationships. Let your words be a beacon of light to those around you.

DAILY MESSAGE: “Forget Me Not…..”

But when you had eaten and were satisfied, you became proud and forgot me. (NLT) Hosea 13:6

Excess is a real struggle for many in our culture. With freezers full of frozen food, clothes for every season, and shelter for our cars, it's no wonder we're so proud. We must not forget where these provisions come from. Don't forget to thank God everyday for all that He has provided. Not only does it show appreciation; most importantly it will keep you humble.

DAILY MESSAGE: “Single Moment…..”

Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? (NLT) Matthew 6:27

You know the feeling you get when you start to worry? Anxiety rises up inside and the situation consumes your thoughts. We try to deal with it ourselves, but this behavior is not glorifying to God. Worry and stress reveal your doubt in God’s will. As the creator of the universe, He has a greater plan at work. The next time you find tension rising up inside of you, stop yourself. Say a prayer that you are turning it over to God and putting your faith in Him. Stop worrying.

DAILY MESSAGE: “Fix Your Thoughts…..”

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. (NLT) Philippians 4:8

Our culture is obsessed with bad news, worst-case-scenarios, and knows that fear sells. God knows that when our minds are continuously inundated with stories of evil and harm we suffer. The Bible gives us practical advice on how to guard against anxiety. We are instructed to fix our thoughts on what is lovely, praiseworthy, right, pure, and true. Make a list of things you are thankful for, things that you can give God praise for, and take time to read his true word. These simple steps are a powerful help in giving you peace of mind.

DAILY MESSAGE: “Guard Your Heart…..”

Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. (NLT) Proverbs 4:23

Solomon, the wisest man, told us to guard our hearts. It can be easy for our hearts to be deceived if we lack awareness. The best solution is to surround ourselves with Godly people and listen to their advice, as it's difficult to see deception ourselves. Is there an area in your life where more than one person has been trying to tell you something?
