Acts 26:1-18
Paul has been in prison for a couple years, and due to circumstances, he appeals to the Roman emperor. Before being sent to Rome, Paul has the opportunity to present his defense before king Agrippa of Israel. Paul take the opportunity to share his testimony! He doesn't leave out any of the bad things from his past, and by doing so he reveals the true power of the gospel and Jesus Christ to change lives. But one verse stood out to me as I studied this morning, it's the last part of verse 17 and 18, where Jesus is speaking to Paul, "I am sending you to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins..."

This is a good reminder that our calling as followers of Jesus, is to be sent as ambassadors of Christ to our neighbors, family, and the world who are blind to the truth, that they too might turn from the darkness and to the light, and be rescued from Satan's power and given to God, filled with the power of God himself, the Holy Spirit.

The calling is not to say yes and get comfortable. May we wake up to the mission field before us. And take our calling serious. All the glory to Jesus.

All of Jesus for all the world.
