Jennifer Smith has been a devoted member of the SMB parish community for more than 20 years, sharing her faith through service, ministry, and a deep commitment to parish life. Over the years, Jennifer has volunteered in many areas of the Church, including the parish's Food Pantry, where she served on its board and provided social media support for its outreach. She also serves as a Eucharistic Minister and helped pioneer SMB’s weekly Eucharistic Adoration, which has continued faithfully for more than 2½ years.
SMB is also the spiritual home of Jennifer’s family. All three of her children were baptized and received their sacraments here, and throughout the years Jennifer has participated in and supported many of the parish’s children’s ministries. Her love for the Church is rooted not only in service, but also in a desire to help families experience the beauty of the Catholic Faith as something lived every day.
Professionally, Jennifer brings a strong background in education, child development, and family support. She holds a degree in Elementary Education, a master’s degree in Special Education, and is a Licensed Behavior Analyst. For more than 12 years, she worked closely with children, teens, and families living with autism, eventually serving as an Associate Vice President and overseeing services for more than 80 families. She has also led summer camps, family recreation programs, and community events designed to help children and families build relationships, feel supported, and grow together.
As Faith Formation Director, Jennifer hopes to walk alongside families as they deepen their relationship with Jesus and discover meaningful ways to live their faith at home, in the Church, and in the world. She is passionate about creating opportunities for prayer, service, learning, and community so that children and families can better recognize God’s presence in their daily lives and respond to His call with joy and purpose.
