It’s been beautiful to see how the Lord has used this verse to speak to us and shape our hearts. As we move into November, let’s continue meditating on these words and reflecting on what it means for our thoughts, our words, and the way we live out our faith each day.

With Election Day coming up, this is also an opportunity to put that reflection into practice. As you prepare to vote, take time to pray, seek the Lord’s wisdom, and allow the Holy Spirit to guide you, asking that your decisions reflect a heart that seeks to please Him.

David was known as a man after God’s own heart not because he was perfect, but because the posture of his heart continually drew him toward God.

God is calling us to that same pursuit: to desire Him above everything competing for our affection and to become people whose private lives reveal a deep love for His heart.

🎉 YOU DID IT, EXCHANGE! 🎉

Together, we raised an incredible $17,277, far exceeding our $10,000 goal!

We are so grateful for the generosity of our church family and every person who came alongside us to invest in the future of Exchange Community Church. What a night of generosity, community, laughter, and a whole lot of fun!

And there were definitely some memorable moments… 😂

🍰 Our Dessert Dash raised $1,515—followed by some serious dessert bartering and sharing!

🏃 17 people challenged Ryan to run, raising $850 and committing him to a whopping 17 kilometers!

👔 The highly coveted “Dress Pastor Mark” experience went to not one, but TWO top bidders. This should be interesting… 👀

🍫 And Kraig went home with the legendary one-pound CocoVie chocolate!

Not everything that sounds right is from God. That’s why we need discernment.

Discernment is spiritual.

It is the Holy Spirit enabling us to recognize what is of God and what is not.

Human discernment leans on experience and intellect. Spiritual discernment grows through a relationship with Jesus, increased sensitivity to Holy Spirit, and a life deeply grounded in God’s Word.

The closer we walk with Him, the more clearly we recognize His voice.

What began as a dream, the Lord has turned into reality through many acts of obedience.

The dream was simple: plant a church in the East Bay that would worship Him in Spirit and in Truth, a people hungry for His presence, grounded in His Word, and committed to making Him known.

Only God could write this story and we are all honored to be a part of HIS STORY!!❤️

What a joy it is, knowing that God is not distant or silent.

He has revealed Himself through His Word, given us His Spirit, and invites us into a relationship where we learn to recognize His voice.

And we get to invite others into a relationship with Jesus where they learn to discern His voice!!
