As we continued our The Kingdom series, Pastor Colby reminded us of a powerful truth:
You were created to rule... but never without the King.

From the very beginning, God's design was for humanity to represent Him and extend His influence throughout the earth. We were created with purpose, authority, and responsibility, but never apart from God's leadership.

One of the most challenging reminders from the message:
The problem in the Garden wasn't simply the fruit. It was humanity's desire for authority without submission.

We were reminded that Kingdom authority is not about control, status, or getting our own way. It's about representing God's rule wherever He has placed us.

As followers of Jesus, we are called to live as ambassadors of His Kingdom every day…not just on Sundays.

And when we pray, we're not asking God to align with our will; we're aligning ourselves with His.

One practical takeaway from the message:
Be a thermostat, not a thermometer. 🌡️

Don't simply reflect the atmosphere around you. Bring God's truth, love, and righteousness into it.

You were created to rule, but never apart from the King.

We're excited to share an opportunity from one of our own, Candice Hicks, and Refined Diamonds, Inc.!

This Friday, Refined Diamonds will celebrate the relaunch of its Summer Mentoring Program for teen girls ages 11–17. The program is designed to provide mentorship, encouragement, life skills, enrichment activities, and a safe, supportive environment for young women in our community.

The relaunch event will feature guest speakers, former program participants sharing their stories, light refreshments, special guests, and opportunities to learn more about the program and its impact.

What a beautiful weekend at REAL Church. 💚

On Saturday, women from REAL Church gathered at The Charles for a meaningful time of conversation, connection, encouragement, and sisterhood. We're grateful for every woman who joined us and helped make the morning so special.

Then on Sunday, we kicked off our new sermon series, The Kingdom.

From the opening moments of worship, there was a powerful sense of unity and freedom in the room. With the altar open, communion shared, worship rising from every corner of the sanctuary, and a moving praise dance that brought many to their feet, we were reminded that God's presence meets us when we gather together.

Pastor Colby challenged us to rethink what it means to live as citizens of God's Kingdom. The Kingdom is not simply a place we hope to reach someday. It's God's rule and reign breaking into our lives right now. As followers of Jesus, we are called to be ambassadors of His Kingdom wherever we go.

One of the most powerful reminders of the day:
"Religion manages behavior. The Kingdom changes identity."

Thank you to everyone who worshiped, served, connected, and made this weekend so meaningful.

Today’s message answered a question many people have asked:
Who is the Holy Spirit?

As we continued our Asking for a Friend series, Pastor Colby reminded us that the Holy Spirit is not a force, feeling, or distant presence. He is God — active in our lives, speaking, teaching, guiding, comforting, and empowering us every day.

We were reminded that hearing from God isn't reserved for pastors or a select few. God still speaks to His people.

One of the most powerful takeaways from today:
"You cannot have a relationship with an it, but you can walk with a He."

We also learned that spiritual gifts aren't given to make us impressive — they're given to make us effective in serving others and advancing God's Kingdom.

The Holy Spirit isn't merely present in our lives. He is an active participant in our lives.
