What a weekend at REAL Church. 💚
From serving our community at Movie Night… to powerful worship and a timely message on eternity Sunday morning… this weekend reminded us what really matters.
🎬 Saturday night, families and people of all ages gathered at the Shops at Waldorf Center for The Princess & the Frog during Summer Sunset Cinema. The atmosphere was incredible!
At the REAL Church tent, people stopped by for free snacks, drinks, glow items, giveaways, conversation, and connection. We were honored to hear that REAL Church was the first sponsor to intentionally give everything away for free while also using the opportunity to serve the community through our shoe drive.
And because of your generosity… 👟
Our Shoe Us the Love bins overflowed.
Together, we collected 525 pairs of shoes during the campaign weekend to help support individuals experiencing homelessness in Charles County while also impacting communities around the world.
Most importantly, we met new people who decided to join us for church Sunday. 🙌
Sunday’s message challenged us to think beyond the temporary.
As we continued our “Asking for a Friend” series, we were reminded that eternity is real, and that salvation is not found in religion, performance, or tradition, but through a real relationship with Jesus Christ.
We were challenged not to spend our lives preparing for everything except eternity. Because while culture says “YOLO”… Scripture reminds us that eternity matters.
Heaven is not folklore.
God’s presence is real.
And the invitation to salvation is available.
This weekend was a reminder that church is more than a building or a Sunday service.
It’s loving people, serving people, and pointing people to Jesus. ❤️
