is invited to church services at Wake Village COGOP to conclude our series on the Book of Galatians.

Paul doesn’t sugarcoat the reality of the Christian life when he writes about the pressure to conform and the persecution that comes from those who want to avoid the "persecution of the cross" (Gal. 6:12). It’s easy to want to make our faith look tidy or to seek approval from the religious culture around us, but the world doesn't recognize Jesus by our outward conformity.

When Paul boldly declares that he will boast only in the cross, he is calling us to a radical departure from living for man's applause. Your "standing" isn't in your religious resume or how well you blend into the crowd; it's entirely in Christ's finished work, where you have been crucified to the world and the world to you.

This call to live by the cross means embracing the reality of the "new creation" (Gal. 6:15). God isn't looking at external marks of religiosity or how many rules you've successfully checked off; He is looking at a heart transformed by His grace. Paul’s reminder that "God cannot be mocked" and that we reap what we sow should free us from the exhausting game of spiritual comparison.

You don't need to perform to earn your place in God's family because that place was secured at the cross. Today, drop the heavy armor of trying to prove yourself and simply rest in the identity of a new creation. Let your life be a quiet, confident testimony that your only boasting is in Jesus Christ, who loves you and gave Himself for you.
