Day Three — 8 days until 10 years: Everybody Won’t Go.
When we say yes to God, whether in ministry, business, or purpose, we often already have people in mind that we think are coming with us.
“These are my people.”
“They believe in us.”
“They’ve been cheering us on.”
Surely they’re coming too.
But when we announced we were planting Legacy Center Church, everything shifted.
At the time, we had a prayer ministry that would host about 50–60 people a month. When we announced we were starting a church, that number dropped to 17.
And the church itself had no money.
The very first seed to start what we now know as Legacy Center Church came from a spiritual daughter who sowed $5,000.
Looking back now, it reminds me of Gideon.
God reduced the numbers because He already knew who was supposed to start the work.
And here’s what I’ve learned:
The people who start the work with you are not always the people who stay with the work.
And often they are not the people who finish the work with you either.
But go anyway, in every season, the Lord will send the people, Hill create the connections and he will provide. Go anyway.
