Swedeburg Covenant Church Welcome to Swedeburg Covenant Church! We meet Sunday Morning at 10:30a for worship. Swedeburg Covenant Church has a long history of ministry in the Wahoo area.

We are growing community of believers, located about 5 miles south of Wahoo in the community of Swedeburg. We are a church where new friends quickly become family, casual in dress, and blended in worship style. Swedeburg Covenant Church belongs to the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC). We are a multiethnic movement of over 875 congregations in the United States and Canada with ministries on five c

ontinents of the world. The ECC values the Bible as the word of God, the gift of God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ, the call to extend God’s love to a hurting world, and the strength that comes from unity within diversity. What we believe can be summed up in our six affirmations.
- We affirm the centrality of the word of God.
- We affirm the necessity of the new birth.
- We affirm a commitment to the whole mission of the church.
- We affirm the church as a fellowship of believers.
- We affirm a conscious dependence on the Holy Spirit.

There are moments when God's calling feels bigger than our courage.

That's where the people of Haggai found themselves. They looked at the Temple they were rebuilding and couldn't help but compare it to what had once stood there. What they were building seemed so small. They wondered if it would ever be what they had before. Then, into their discouragement, God spoke these words:

"Be strong...and work. For I am with you." Haggai 2:4

If you've ever felt discouraged, overwhelmed, or wondered whether what you're doing really matters, this message is for you. God's presence is what gives us the courage to keep building.

We are looking forward to worshiping with you at the Saunders Co. Fairgrounds on Sunday, August 2nd at 9:00 a.m.!

As you are able, our offering (funds and food) will go towards the Saunders County Ministerial Alliance Assistance Fund, and Non-Perishable Food will help restock the shelves at the Saunders County Food Pantry.

On Sunday, August 2, Swedeburg Covenant Church will join churches from across Saunders County for a Community Worship Service at the Saunders County Fairgrounds in Wahoo.

There will be no worship service at Swedeburg Covenant Church that morning. Instead, we invite you to join us for worship at:

As part of our worship together, we will be receiving:

- Non-perishable food donations for the Saunders County Food Bank
- Financial gifts for the Saunders County Ministerial Alliance Assistance Fund

This need in our community continues to grow. Since April, requests for assistance have increased by more than 50%, and the trend continues. Your generosity can help provide food, utility assistance, emergency housing support, and hope to neighbors facing difficult circumstances.

As we gather to worship one God as one community, let's also join together in caring for those in need.

Have you ever known the right thing to do...but struggled to take the first step? That's where the people of Haggai found themselves.

This Sunday, we'll continue our series Consider Your Ways with a message called: Build What Matters - Haggai 1:7–15

God's people had spent years talking about rebuilding the Temple. Then God spoke, and everything changed. Sometimes the hardest part of faith isn't knowing what God wants; it's taking the first step of obedience.

The good news? God doesn't simply call us to His work; He promises His presence. "I am with you," declares the Lord. (Haggai 1:13)

Join us this Sunday as we discover what it means to build a life that responds to God's voice with faithful action.

Have you ever felt like life has become so busy that you've lost sight of what matters most?

The prophet Haggai spoke to God's people during a season of rebuilding. They had good intentions, but somewhere along the way, their priorities had shifted. Through Haggai, God lovingly calls His people to pause, reflect, and "consider your ways."

Beginning this Sunday, join us for a new sermon series:
Consider Your Ways: Building What Matters Most

Together, we'll journey through the book of Haggai and discover how this short Old Testament book speaks powerfully to our lives today. We'll explore God's call to examine our priorities, trust His presence, and build lives centered on what truly lasts.

Whether you've been attending church for years or you're simply curious about what the Bible has to say, we'd love to have you join us.
