What if the biggest problem with our politics isn't who we're voting for...but who we've forgotten we belong to?
Two thousand years ago, Jesus was asked a politically loaded question. His opponents wanted to trap him, force him to pick a side, and give them something they could use against him.
Sound familiar?
But Jesus refused to play their game. Instead, he asked for a coin, pointed to Caesar's image on it, and gave an answer that left everyone speechless.
"Give to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's." (Mark 12:17)
Here's the thing: Caesar's image was on the coin. But whose image is on you?
Just days before Election Day, we're asking a question that goes far beyond politics:
WHOSE IMAGE ARE YOU CARRYING?
Mark 12:13–17
As we continue our series, A Different Kind of Kingdom, we'll explore what it means to live faithfully in this world without forgetting where our ultimate allegiance belongs. Following Jesus doesn't mean checking out of the world around us. It means refusing to let the world tell us who we are.
