Grace Lutheran Church, rural Wahoo, Nebraska Celebrating over 150 Years of Grace Founded in 1870 Welcome to Grace Lutheran Church, rural Wahoo (Swedeburg)'s page. Our history?

Everyone is welcome here! We meet for worship each Sunday at 9:00 am. Holy Communion services are on the first and third Sundays of every month. However, during the summer months, we only have Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month. We also have special services such as Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Christmas Eve Candlelight. Our Annual Lawn Social is on the 4th Sunday

of August each year. We serve sloppy joes, hot dogs, salads, chips, homemade pies, ice cream and more! Freewill donations are accepted to go toward a cause each year. Serving is 5:00 to 7:30 pm. 5th Sunday worship is this coming Sunday, August 30 at Zion - 589 County Rd. 13, Ithaca. Come at 9:30 for brownie sundaes - worship at 10:30. There will be NO WORSHIIP AT GRACE this Sunday.

Don't forget! This Sunday is "church hat" Sunday. It was suggested as a way to honor the women of faith who have been influential in our lives. We're finishing the letter to Timothy this week, and earlier, Paul held up Timothy's mother and grandmother as those who passed on the faith to him. This Sunday we'll wear hats and our Sunday best as we remember the women in our own faith tradition and remember the days of church hats and Sunday best. And guys, if you've got a fedora or dressy cowboy hat, or something, I don't see why you can't join in!

NEW SCAM TARGETING CHURCHES: “LOST DIRECTORY”

Be aware of a new scam where someone emails claiming they’ve “lost the directory” and asks you to send them a copy. Sharing your directory gives scammers personal information they can use to contact and exploit members.

Always:

- Check the sender’s full email address carefully
- Confirm directly with the person (by phone or known email) before responding
- Remember: we will NEVER ask you to buy anything for us
