Today, on Patriot Day, we remember the lives lost on September 11, honor the courage of first responders, and pray for all who continue to carry the sorrow of that day. May our faith unite us in compassion, peace, and hope.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, comfort those who mourn, protect those who serve, and guide our nation in the ways of peace. May we always turn to You in times of sorrow and uncertainty. Amen. 🇺🇸🙏

What a wonderful evening at our ACC Formation Kick-Off! Families and parishioners of all ages gathered at St. Ann for food, fellowship, games, ice cream, atrium tours, and an exciting look at the discipleship opportunities ahead.

Thank you to the Knights for providing the meal and to everyone who helped make the evening possible. A special thank-you to all our catechists who have generously said “yes” to sharing the Catholic faith this year!

Workshop: Planning for End of Life with Purpose and Peace of Mind

As Catholics, we have a hope beyond the end of our earthly lives, but many practical questions remain about caring for ourselves and our loved ones as we move through this life stage. Typical questions include: What is Church teaching about end-of-life medical treatment? Is cremation or burial preferred? How do I make a health care directive that honors my Catholic beliefs? Father JC Duncan and Father Greg Sauer will address these questions and others during a workshop, “Planning for End-of-Life with Purpose and Peace of Mind” on Wednesday, September 16 at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples and 5:30 pm at St. Ann Catholic Church in Wadena. Greg Gall, Senior Member Advisor of Catholic United Financial, will also be on hand to speak about the financial aspects of end-of-life decisions, including final expenses, estate plans, charitable giving, power of attorney and more. This event is open to everyone from ages 1 to 110!
Join our community for food, fellowship, tour the atrium, and a hear about all of our upcoming discipleship events.

5:45–6:30 PM: Free meal provided by the Knights
Fun & Games: Bouncy house, activities, and ice cream!
