Praise isn’t just something we do—it’s a response to who God is.

Revelation 4:8–11 and Isaiah 6:1–4 give us a glimpse of heaven, where worship surrounds the throne of God. The angels cry, “Holy, holy, holy!” and all creation declares that He is worthy of glory, honor, and praise.

We don’t praise God because He needs us. We praise Him because we need Him. Praise shifts our focus from our circumstances to the One who is holy, sovereign, and worthy of everything we have.
Revelation reminds us that worship is happening continually in heaven. Isaiah reminds us that when we truly see God for who He is, our response is awe and worship.

And Psalm 150:6 says:
“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!”

If you’re breathing, you have a reason to praise!

So today, smile, sing, shout, celebrate, and lift up the name of Jesus. Lay aside the heaviness and give God the praise He is worthy of.

If you have breath, you have a reason to praise!

What a fun night MBF Ladies had at Taco ’bout Jesus! 🌮

Last night was filled with laughter, fellowship, prayer, and so much fun! A huge thank you to Stephanie for sharing her testimony and providing prayer boards for all of us to create.

We truly love getting together with you ladies, growing in faith, encouraging one another, and making memories along the way!

We’re already looking forward to the next one!

Him or Them — Part 3

Pastor Tommy challenged us to take a hard look at our lives and ask: Who are we serving—Him or them?

Joshua 24:15 says, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Serving God is a choice. It requires us to intentionally put Him first, even when it’s inconvenient, uncomfortable, or costs us something.

Jesus came to serve. He didn’t come looking for recognition, comfort, or to be served by others. He came with a servant’s heart, and He calls us to follow His example.

Serving isn’t just something we do inside the church on Sunday. It’s a lifestyle. We serve when we love people, meet a need, give our time, use our gifts, encourage someone, feed someone, pray for someone, or simply show up when someone needs us.

Sometimes serving means doing the things nobody notices. God sees it all. There is no insignificant act of service when it is done for Him.
We shouldn’t serve only when we feel like it or when it benefits us. We serve because He first served us. Our time, talents, resources, and lives should be available for His purpose.

The Bible is a love story that continually shows us who God is and His character. And when we truly know Him, our response should be obedience, generosity, humility, and a willingness to serve.

Jesus didn’t come to be served. He came to serve.

So the question is simple:
Him or them?
Who are you serving?
And what are you willing to do for the Kingdom?

See you tomorrow MBF!

We Feed the Lions Is Back! 🦁

Yesterday was the moment we had been waiting for… We Feed the Lions is BACK in full swing!

For over 10 years, MBF has had the privilege of showing up for these young men, serving a meal, loving on them, and reminding them that they matter.

What a blessing it is to be a consistent presence in their lives! We are so thankful for everyone who helped make yesterday possible. From picking up groceries and preparing the food to serving and loving on these kids—every part matters.

A special THANK YOU to Carver Park for partnering with us yesterday! We are so grateful to serve alongside you, and we look forward to growing the Kingdom with you and seeing what God has in store for this partnership!

We aren’t just feeding stomachs. We’re feeding the lions and showing them the love of Jesus.
And this is just the beginning!

Thank you to everyone who continues to say YES to serving!

Him or Them — Part 2

Pastor Tommy stomped on our toes last Sunday! 🔥

Joshua 24:15 says, “Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve.”

This is a declaration. A decision. A choice.

You have to decide who you will follow and what will have first place in your life.

“I have decided to follow Jesus.”

There is ONE God. We cannot live like polytheists and call ourselves Christians. Anything we place above God can become an idol—our job, money, sports, our phones, pleasure, or even our own comfort.

Money isn't evil. But when our love for money controls us, it has become an idol.

Sports aren't evil. But when sports become more important than gathering with God's people, something is out of order.

Even our phones can become idols when they consume the time and attention that belong to God.

Jesus didn't try to make Himself God—He was God in the flesh.

“Before Abraham was, I AM.”
“If you have seen me, you have seen the Father.”
The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one.

There is only one question that matters most: Are you saved or not saved?

So what will you choose today?

Will you live like the people of the land, following whatever competes for your attention?
Or will you choose God?

As for MBF, we choose Him.

And what a busy week we have had in our ministries!

Waco Christian Academy started school this week! We are excited for another year and all that God is going to do through these students and teachers.

The Gallery won the 2026 Waco Tribune-Herald H•O•T Reader’s Choice Award for Best Antique Store! We are so grateful for everyone who voted, shopped, supported, and continues to love what we are doing through The Gallery!

Next week, we start “We Feed the Lions!” We are excited to get back to loving on these young men, serving them, and showing them the love of Jesus.

There are so many ways to get involved, and every part matters! God is moving, our ministries are growing, and we are so thankful to be a part of it all!

See you tomorrow at MBF! We can't wait to worship with you! ❤️
