Have you ever had one of those moments where, after a reprieve, you had to go back to your real life? ? Maybe you had an incredible vacation, and then it was time to go back to where life was happening . That's usually when reality hits you - going back to work, back to your routine, and all the everyday struggles. Peter he had a huge back to life moment. Peter was able to walk on the water, as long as he was focused on Jesus. When he took his eyes off of Jesus, and looked around, fear set in and Peter started to sink. The water no longer held him, but Jesus reached out , took his hand, held it tightly, and walked him back to the boat. Back to where life happened, and back to all his struggles, and daily routines . Matthew 14:32 says " When they climbed back into the boat, the wind stopped ". Jesus brought Peter back to the everyday world where life happened, so Peter
could go out with a renewed sense of purpose.
Jesus rescues us, and then our mission is to share the gospel. Peter became a bold witness for Christ. Our mountain top experiences are amazing, but it's when we get back to the boat, back to reality, that we are called to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
