We choose to involve ourselves directly in Christ-centered worship as opposed to coming to observe what is going on. Worship is not watching what is going on, it is involving ourselves in the very experience itself.

Have you ever had one of those moments where, after a reprieve, you had to go back to your real life? ? Maybe you had an incredible vacation, and then it was time to go back to where life was happening . That's usually when reality hits you - going back to work, back to your routine, and all the everyday struggles. Peter he had a huge back to life moment. Peter was able to walk on the water, as long as he was focused on Jesus. When he took his eyes off of Jesus, and looked around, fear set in and Peter started to sink. The water no longer held him, but Jesus reached out , took his hand, held it tightly, and walked him back to the boat. Back to where life happened, and back to all his struggles, and daily routines . Matthew 14:32 says " When they climbed back into the boat, the wind stopped ". Jesus brought Peter back to the everyday world where life happened, so Peter
could go out with a renewed sense of purpose.
Jesus rescues us, and then our mission is to share the gospel. Peter became a bold witness for Christ. Our mountain top experiences are amazing, but it's when we get back to the boat, back to reality, that we are called to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

A fisherman named Peter got into a boat to cross the Sea of Galilee , at Jesus's insistence. It was not unusual for Peter to get into a boat. He was very familiar with boats, but Peter was getting ready to experience the supernatural in a very unusual way, and he was going have a day he would never forget. Matthew 14:28- 29 says, "Then Peter called to him " Lord , if its really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water " "Yes, come," Jesus said. So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus. "
God can take a day and turn it into an unexpected supernatural happening. In one day, God can bring healing to you. In one day, God can answer prayers and make amazing opportunities happen. In one day, God can answer your long awaited prayers , and in one day he can bring the prodigal home. Peter's one day brought him to the point of walking on the water towards Jesus. Dont give up, your one day will happen suddenly and unexpectedly. God will give you the resources to help you, and remove obstacles that hinder you. Your one day is on the way!

God calls believers to face difficult battles, by trusting him to provide the strength to overcome. That is exactly what happened when the disciples were in a boat on the raging seas. The boat was filling up with water and these men knew without a doubt they were not going to make it.
Matthew 14:25-27 says, "About three o' clock in the morning, Jesus came toward them, walking on the water. When the disciples saw him walking on the water, they were terrified. In their fear they cried out, " It's a ghost!" But Jesus spoke to them at once. " Dont be afraid ," he said. " Take courage, I am here! "
What a wonderful promise from God for us to hear, when we are facing insurmountable circumstances. How many times do problems with health, finances, or issues with children, make us feel like our boat is filling up, and we are ready to drown. Our fears can cause us to see things, that are not even there. The disciples thought for sure they were seeing a ghost, but Jesus said, "Dont be afraid, take courage. I am here!"
Today, remind yourself that God loves to give divine strength and courage . He has not left you , he is always right there with you.

In the Old Testament, there is a scripture where God promises to turn the Valley of Trouble, into a Gateway to Hope. In Matthew 14 , Peter and the disciples experienced this literally. The storm- swept Sea of Galilee became the " Valley of Trouble" , but the very storm that terrified them became the gateway for them to experience the supernatural presence of Jesus. I am sure the disciples viewed their situation
as the valley of trouble. The storm hit , cries of fear could be heard, and their circumstance looked like a place where hope goes to die. They didnt know they were being ushered into the presence of Jesus.
Hosea 2:15 says, "There I will give her back her vineyards and I will make the Valley of Achor a gateway to hope. There she will sing as in the days of her youth, as in the day she came up out of Egypt".
Do you have a troubled heart? Are you in a valley of trouble? Remember God's promise that he will turn your valley into a Gateway of Hope.
