🙌🏾🔥 THE SPIRIT IS MOVING AT EBENEZER!

What a Sunday at EBC! We began by celebrating young Prince as he went down into the baptismal waters and came up walking in newness of life! 💦🙌🏾

Then we gathered around the Lord’s Table for Communion... but GOD wasn’t finished! Before Communion could begin, several people came forward to give their lives to Christ! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 GOD IS MOVING!!!

And the celebration didn’t stop there! We welcomed Prince into the Ebenezer family with a HIGH FIVE of fellowship! ✋🏾💙 The smiles, the cheers and the love from his church family made the moment even more special!

Baptism. Communion. Souls saved. A church rejoicing. Now THAT’S a Sunday morning! 🙌🏾🔥

God is moving at Ebenezer, and we are grateful for every life being changed, every soul being saved and every reason to celebrate!

🖤 𝐄𝐁𝐂 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲, 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐈𝐬 𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧!

We’re excited to share that our First Lady, Dr. Veleka Gatling, will be a featured speaker at the 2026 Advocating While Black Summit, September 18–19!

As The Church That Reaches Out, advocacy has always been an important part of how we care for our community. This Summit is another opportunity for us to learn, listen and become better equipped to support children and families who need someone willing to stand with them and speak up for them.

An educator, advocate, community leader, and candidate for Norfolk School Board, Ward 2, First Lady Gatling continues to use her voice and experience to champion children and families. We are proud to see her lending that voice to this important conversation surrounding Black neurodivergent children and ensuring they receive the care, dignity, resources, and support they deserve.

We would love to have members of our EBC family in the room to hear her speak and take part in these important conversations.

You can identify what's truly from God by examining the fruit it produces. Dead fruit reveals a dead tree. The Spirit of God bears love, joy, peace, gentleness, goodness, kindness, patience, and faith. When deception whispers, ask God for discernment to know the difference.

A special shout out our Men’s Ministry at Ebenezer Baptist Church for their back to school event last weekend. They sponsored haircuts for young men going back to school, and as you can see, there was fellowship as well.  Special thanks to the following barbers:

We want to thank our Joshua Generation (Gen Y/Gen Z Ministry) for hosting family game night, and we also want to thank all of our members who came out to fellowship and play Family Feud. We are grateful that both Steve Harveys (plural) took time out of their schedules to host this event. 😀
