LUMC Family, our friends at Manna Ministry of Tidewater have reached out with an urgent need. The LUMC Missions Committee invites you to be the hands and feet of Christ through this wonderful organization doing some amazing work in our own community.

From Nick Masella, Direction of Operations:

"From January through May of 2025, Manna completed 567 deliveries. During that same time period in 2026, we completed 708 deliveries. That is 141 additional deliveries and nearly a 25% increase year over year.

Behind every number is a family, senior, single parent, or neighbor who reached out because they needed help putting food on the table.

We believe God has called Manna to stand in the gap for our neighbors, and we are asking boldly for help so we can continue living out that calling.

Driving is simple: two adults, one vehicle, and about 1.5 to 2 hours on a Saturday morning. It is also a great way to bring a friend, family member, small group member, or neighbor with you to see the love of Jesus firsthand.

Each route is more than food delivery. It is a chance to bring encouragement, prayer, dignity, and the hope of Christ to a neighbor in need.

LUMC SERVE DAY AT MANNA MINISTRY - Saturday, May 9th
"The best things happen at the exit ramp of your comfort zone." And that is never more true than when we are serving the Lord! Have you felt that nudge, that feeling that there's more to faith than what you've experienced so far?

Your "Yes" to delivering groceries with Manna Ministry of Tidewater this Saturday will propel you out of your comfort zone and into an adventure with God as you meet people from all walks of life, hear their stories, and see how God uses you to connect with those He loves. Adam and Stephanie took that leap of faith last time. And so did Lyn and her family. Will you?

A self-guided walk through the church that represents each step of the journey to the cross. A perfect activity for ALL AGES to reflect on what Holy Week and Easter truly mean. Open to all, come at any time between 5-7 pm. Enter through the side Social Hall doors.
