We are grateful to celebrate 26 years of ministry in our sanctuary. But with time the building ages too, and we are in the process of repairing and replacing most of our HVAC systems. All we ask is that you consider giving above and beyond in the months of September and October so that we can be comfortable in the sanctuary. Thank you for the many ways you love and support us!

If you read the Bible and struggle getting anything out of it this is the class for you. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned vet this class is designed to help you develop the skills you need to read the Bible on your own. We don't seek the right answers, we seek the right questions. If you are beginning your fast today or tomorrow here are a few things to keep in mind.

1. Fasting isn’t about proving how disciplined we are. It’s about proximity—sacrificing something we desire because being closer to God is worth more.

2. Giving up food is an act of faith, A way of saying that we need God more than we need food in our stomachs.

3. Prayer is a conversation, this requires listening too!

4. Fasting is not dietary it's Spiritual, weighing the physical benefits misses the point.

5. Fasting is about creating space, in our cases space to read the word of God, and space to pray for our country, and pray for the lost.

If you walk this path with us this weekend, know that you have already been prayed over!
