The Vidor Methodist Church will celebrate its 91st Anniversary with a special weekend of activities in June 2026. An Open House will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 2 to 5 pm in the Katie Pittman Christian Activity Center at the Vidor Methodist Church, 501 North Main Street in Vidor.
At 3 p.m. the church’s new Blessing Garden will be dedicated in honor of the 26 living members of the church who are 80 years old and older. Later that afternoon, the church plans to rededicate its Chapel, dedicate its new historical library and unveil its new Peace Pole, donated by the Rotary Club of Vidor. The Peace Pole displays, “May Peace Prevail On Earth” in eight different languages and in braille. It will be installed on the Main Street side of the church property. Snacks and light food will be served at the Open House.
On Sunday, June 28, 2026, a special worship service will be held at 10 am at the Vidor Methodist Church and will be followed by a luncheon in the Katie Pittman Christian Activity Center.
The public is invited and all activities and worship services are free of charge.
