Sunday's Message ::: Even faithful people feel exhausted, discouraged, and emotionally depleted. Elijah’s story reminds us that a heavy heart does not mean we have lost our faith. It may simply mean we have reached our limits. In this message, we see how God meets us in our exhaustion, cares for us in our weakness, listens to what hurts, and gives us a faithful next step.

A heavy heart does not mean you have lost your faith.
You can love God, walk faithfully, and still reach a breaking point where your tank is completely empty.

When spiritual and emotional exhaustion sets in, it distorts how we see everything:
- It tricks us into believing a temporary struggle is permanent.
- It convinces us that one negative voice speaks for everyone.
- It whispers the lie that we are utterly alone.

When our backs are against the wall, we feel rushed to make major decisions based on feelings that were never meant to guide us. Give yourself permission to pause, lay the weight down, and rest.

Sometimes life is not falling apart. You are just tired. Not the kind of tired that one good night of sleep fixes. It is a deeper exhaustion. Have you considered, “You are forgiven”? Read Psalm 103. A king named David wrote a special song called a psalm to celebrate God’s compassion and grace—His undeserved love and forgiveness. Kids learned that God’s grace changes us from the inside out. We know we do not earn or deserve forgiveness, but when we have it, that forgiveness fills us with joy and peace. Surprise your kids with a special “just because” treat, sharing that we can enjoy God’s grace the same way—a gift we do not deserve.
