Just 3 more days until the first meeting of our Discipleship Group on Monday August 17th at 2pm in the Guild Room!

We will meet weekly to grow our faith in community through learning about Christian spiritual practices by:
- Reading some classical devotional books
- Hands on experience of some practices including various forms
of prayer such as Lectio Divina and praying the Anglican rosary
- Spiritual writing such as a Spiritual Autobiography or journaling
as a spiritual practice.

We will be drawing from Richard J. Foster's Celebration of Discipline, and Streams of Living Water, from Benedictine authors such as Joan Chittiser and Jane Tomaine's St. Benedict's Toolbox, and from classics like Brother Lawrence's Practicing the Presence of God.

Join us and add some tools to your own spiritual toolbox!✝️

Join us tomorrow, August 9. We look forward to seeing you as we celebrate and worship.

Adult Sunday School at 9 AM in the Parish Hall (Currently we are discussing God's Covenants with God's people focusing on Adam & Eve, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, and Jesus. Bring a Bible if you wish, we also have some available for use during class. Coffee is hot. Previous preparation is not required.)

Holy Eucharist and Blessing of the Backpacks at 10:15 (The school supplies that have been gathered, all students and teachers will also be blessed.)

After the service, we will gather in the Parish Hall for fellowship and a pot luck lunch. Bring your favorite dish to share if you wish.
