Please join us in welcoming Keith home! 🏠❤️

A proud Vero Beach native, Keith has faced many challenges with strength and determination. For a time, he experienced homelessness and lived out of his car while continuing to work toward stability. Through it all, he remained focused on moving forward and building a better future.

Today, Keith is proud to say that he is officially housed! This milestone marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter filled with stability, independence, and hope.

Congratulations, Keith! We are incredibly proud of your perseverance and cannot wait to see what comes next. 🎉👏

🏆 Our neighbor Otis is helping us share some exciting news: The Source has been named a 2026 Best of Florida Award recipient in the Charitable Organizations category, chosen by readers and editors of Guide to Florida!

Because of your support, we have continued serving our neighbors in Indian River County for more than 30 years. This recognition belongs to everyone who makes that work happen. Our dedicated staff and volunteers, generous donors, community partners, and the neighbors working toward their goals each day all have a part in this achievement.

Thank you for believing in The Source and the people we serve. We are honored by this award and grateful to keep building a community where every person is treated with dignity and given opportunities to move forward. 💙

🐾 This National Dog Day, we are celebrating the loyal companions who stay beside our neighbors through life’s most difficult seasons.

For many individuals experiencing homelessness, a dog is more than a pet. They are family, comfort, and a source of unconditional love. That is why The Source added secure, covered companion animal kennels at our reSource Center on Commerce Avenue.

Members can now enjoy a hot meal, take a shower, do laundry, meet with a counselor, or participate in our programs knowing their companion is safe and nearby. Each dog also receives a special welcome bag with treats and a toy.

We are also grateful to For the Love of Paws for providing dog food and helping us care for the whole family with dignity and compassion. ❤️
