My friends, in some of the storms of life, God intervenes and shelters us; while in others He allows us to be exposed, so that we will be all the more pressed to His side and know His great strength. Life is hard. But we can hold on. As Isaiah wrote: “There is One who will never forsake us.” And that is God.

Just a reminder that there will be no Sunday School or worship service at the church this Sunday This Sunday (8/30), we will be holding our annual 11:00 church picnic at the home of David and Laura Bacon, 469 S. Sandusky Ave, Upper Sandusky. There will be a meal, swimming and activities for all ages and you are all welcome to attend.

Jesus' said: "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." So, where is your heart? Do we seek after God's kingdom? Does God reign in our life? Do we in all things seek to do the will of the One who created and sustains us? We know where Jesus' heart was. And He said that this is where our heart should be as well

When Jesus looks at us, He sees us as we are, and things we choose to live with but, with His double vision, He sees us also as we might be. See yourself the "the person God meant." Hold the picture of positive imagination whenever you pray. Dwell on the thought that God could make you like that . . . and, as you dwell on it daily and in prayer, God will use your sanctified imagina¬tion to pull you up. The actual can turn into the ideal.
