WHY YOUR SIN IS WORSE THAN YOU THINK
Why does God judge sin the way He does? The truth is that sin isn't small. It's not a mistake or a slip-up. It's cosmic treason.
Cosmic treason is distrusting the God who made us, rejecting the word that gives life, and claiming the throne that belongs to Him.
If you throw a rock at a junked car? There's likely no consequences. Hit someone's used car? $5 fix. Hit a Ferrari? $10,000 and a felony.
The same wrong, but the more valuable the target, the harder the punishment.
God is the most powerful being in existence. We're sinning against the most valuable being there is.
No matter how small we think our sin is, it's completely just for who we're sinning against. If God treated sin lightly, He wouldn't be loving or just.
The curse is severe because the crime is severe. But your hope isn't in doing better next time. Your hope is in the promise God made. Jesus has made a way for us to be redeemed.
