Dear Beloved Members of St. John’s,

On October 22, Laura and I received calls to Divine Savior Academy in Willis, TX. DSA is a private school system, operated by the WELS through Divine Savior Ministries, which has locations in Florida (Doral, Delray Beach, West Palm Beach), Texas (Missouri City, Liberty Hill), and Grenada.

Our calls are to start the ministry in its newest location in Willis, TX, which is just north of Houston. Laura’s call is to teach 4K, and my call is to serve as the principal. The campus currently has a church, but the school building will be finished by May of 2027. The first school year will include 60-70 students in 3K through 1st grade, with another grade level added each year.

It is a great responsibility to carry out the work of the Lord! And it will be exciting to learn about the ministry at DSA. Please share your thoughts about our calls to DSA and to St. John’s. We also ask for your prayers for wisdom and discernment as we deliberate these calls.
