This weekend we are celebrating the graduation from high school of a very special girl/young woman, and one of our own, Juliana Robinson. Juli is the youngest daughter of Pastor Leigh Ann and husband Steve. Her sister, Megan, is preparing to also do great things, with two years of college already behind her.
If you've been following along, for her high school project as a junior last year, wrote a grant and basically designed a solar power system for our church, creating a resiliency hub for our community, making the church available to those in need during prolonged emergencies, including inclement weather (hot or cold) and extended power outages.
She was selected by her peers at the Methow Valley Independent Learning to speak from the podium at Friday night's commencement at Liberty Bell High School, and is headed back east for college in the Fall to become the next great scientific engineer.
Congratulations to Steve and Lee Ann, and thank you for sharing both of your wonderful girls with us.
Congratulations, Juliana, on your great successes already achieved. We can't wait to see what you are going to do later in life!!!

We have some late breaking news for your Thanksgiving Holiday:

Join us at MVUMC for our annual community Thanksgiving Dinner. Turkey, ham, all the fixin's, plus pie, of course! All are welcome. Dinner is free, cash donations accepted.

We can do store-bought pies, plus some donations of things like cookies, brownies, but no side dishes. If folks want to donate things like butter or rolls, that’s an option, since those are usually purchased. Please help us comply with Health District regulations and please do not bring home-cooked dishes or desserts.

We hope you can join us for a community celebration of thanksgiving, on Thanksgiving!!

Second Sunday in Lent

Join us at 10:00 AM as we worship following 1 Corinthians 14:26:
So here’s what I want you to do.
When you gather for worship,
each one of you be prepared with something that will be useful for all:
Sing a hymn, teach a lesson, tell a story, lead a prayer, provide an insight.
(The Message)

Come with a hymn request, prayer, Scripture reading, brief message, or witness to what God is doing in your life. Or just bring your presence as we worship God together!
