Janie Wright has always had a passion with our church in filling shoeboxes for children. This year we are doing it a little different. You can adopt a shoebox and fill it with items. The postage will be paid by the church.

I was honored to have my granddaughter Kerragan help me stuff boxes today and delivered them to Janie.

Below is a list of recommended items to include. Red is girls and green is boy recommendations.

We have a lot of extra boxes and would love to have them filled. We are asking that they be returned by Nov. 8th when we will have a pizza party and pray over the boxes as a group.

Thank you to Alex Arnold for a great sermon today from Romans and letters from Paul. Also thank you to Wendell Hawkins for always helping out. The photos are him serving communion to his grandson and daughter. Our parents would be so proud.

Help us welcome Alex Arnold to Port Royal !
Brother Alex is currently pursuing his M.Div at Asbury Seminary & will be staying with us through the spring .
Some get to know you fun facts about him ..
*his hometown is Dothan , Alabama
* favorite food is any kind of chicken
* in his free time you can find him at the gym or reading a good book
* favorite movie is Lord of Rings Trilogy
* favorite passage of scripture is Galatians 6:9
* something that would surprise you to know about him ? he is a better shot with a bow than a fi***rm
* if he had to preach a topic without preparation? it would be on the importance of prayer
* if he could hang out with 3 people from the Bible who would it be & why ?
He would want to talk to the women who visited Jesus’s tomb & ask about the moment they realized he was missing . He can’t imagine what that moment was like
*When asking what most excites him about Port Royal ? He said he’s excited to partner with what God is already doing here & is excited to be apart of a community that values pursuing revival & doing life together as a spiritual family

We are blessed to have Brother Alex with us & excited to see how God will continue using him here at Port Royal !

Wonderful fellowship tonight with our Women’s Group where we discussed Abigail 1st Samuel 25. I loved when Cas said, “She hopped on her donkey and took snacks and handled it.” We are never at a loss for good food. Each lady brings the most amazing things and most nights we could have fed David’s men as well! In our discussions, I am sure there is one of us that could have talked David out of killing Nabal and the others too! Love our time together.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

We are so excited to share that Operation Christmas Child has officially launched at our church! This year, we are opening this wonderful ministry up to our community!

If you would like to adopt a child and fill a shoebox, we would love for you to participate. Our church will cover the postage for every box!
📦 HOW IT WORKS:
• Pick up the number of shoeboxes you would like to fill at the church.
• Choose a label for a boy or girl and age group.
• Shop for that child and fill your box with items they will love.
• Please follow the Operation Christmas Child shoebox gift guidelines.
• Return your filled shoeboxes by November 8th.

🍕 SHOEBOX CELEBRATION — NOVEMBER 8TH
Immediately following church, we will have a pizza party and a special prayer over all of our shoeboxes!
If you would like to drop your box off before November 8th, that is perfectly fine too!

❤️ This ministry means so much to our church member, Janie Wright, who pours her heart into it year after year. We are so thankful for her dedication and for the opportunity to share God’s love with children around the world.
