10:45am-Morning Worship

In response to yesterday's post regarding vandalism at our church, we extend our gratitude to everyone for their prayers and heartfelt concerns. We would like to clarify that the post's primary purpose was to raise awareness. Fortunately, the damage was limited to furniture and was not extensive; however, as a precautionary measure, we are temporarily locking our doors throughout the week , which have traditionally been open to the community at all times. Thank you again & God bless !

We are saddened to announce that our church was vandalized last week, requiring us to lock our doors temporarily. As a longstanding pillar of our community, our church has offered shelter, safety, and an open altar for those seeking solace. This act of vandalism is especially disheartening in light of our recent efforts to restore the building. We have formally reported the incident to local law enforcement.

Thankful that we got to welcome Zoe Lawless and her parents David and Rose Lawless this morning. Zoe did a wonderful job in bringing us the message “Jesus Has Set You Free.” Scripture was from Acts 16:16-34. Zoe said that if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, he has set you free from what imprisoned you.
Closing scripture was Psalm 70.

So thankful for Rev. Katherine Reiley as our guest today. She preached about Sarai and Hagar in Genesis 16 1-14. We recently studied this scripture in our women’s group. But, Katherine had a way of telling the story that brought a whole new light to it.

She has 1 more year at Asbury Seminary and we hope to have her sub for us again sometime until we can get another preacher.

Here’s to the next chapter for Jadon Olsen & Kelsi Howard. Today was his last day preaching at Port Royal Methodist and they will be moving to North Carolina and getting married May 30th.

We will miss them each Sunday but we have faith that God has a plan for them and will also bring us just the right preacher we need.

A few tears were shed when Trinika Laughlin played a video of photos from their year with us. So many good memories!
