☀️ Methodist Moment: Prevenient Grace ☀️

Wesleyans talk about salvation as a journey, and it begins long before we know we are on the road. Prevenient grace is the grace that goes before us: the quiet, persistent love of God already moving in a life before there is awareness, seeking, or turning.

It is the sunrise and the porch light left on. It is the deep breath, the unexpected kindness, the question that will not leave you alone, the moment something cracks open and you do not yet know why.

In the Wesleyan tradition, grace is not a reward for finding God. Grace is God's loving presence already at work, inviting us to respond.

Built around a simple idea—take what you need, leave what you can—our Free Farm Stand is here to help share the abundance of the growing season with our community.

You'll find fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, and other seasonal items as they become available. Have extra produce from your garden? Feel free to leave some for others to enjoy. Need a few tomatoes, herbs, or vegetables for your table? Take what you need.

No cost. No requirements. Just neighbors helping neighbors. The stand is located at St. Luke and is available as supplies last. Stop by, spread the word, and help us cultivate generosity and community this summer.

UMC Day at the Water Park

Mississippi United Methodist churches are coming together for a day at Geyser Falls — and we’d love for your church to join us!

One of the best parts of being United Methodist is our connection. This is a chance for churches from across the Mississippi Annual Conference to gather outside of meetings and events simply to have fun together, build relationships, and enjoy a summer day with our families, youth, and communities.

Friday, July 17, 2026
11 AM – 6 PM
Geyser Falls Water Theme Park, Philadelphia, MS

Group Rate: $50 per person (Includes a meal voucher!)
Payment is due upon arrival the day of the event.

Come hungry and help support our students as they prepare for Camp Lake Stephens this summer! Our youth will be serving up pancakes and breakfast favorites before church as a fundraiser to help make camp possible. Camp experiences create space for friendships, faith, fun, and moments that can shape a student’s life for years to come.

Front Porch Faith: Pull up a chair. Let’s talk about grace the Wesleyan way.

On a front porch, people talk about the things that matter most — life, faith, family, questions, stories, and hope. This summer we’re pulling up a chair and exploring the heart of our United Methodist faith. Through the stories of scripture, we’ll reflect on grace that welcomes us, seeks us, transforms us, and sends us into the world to love our neighbors. No lectures — just porch conversations about the grace of God and the life we share together.

Join us every Sunday in June and July at 10:30 AM in the Sanctuary.
