Still we stand as the pillar of purpose.

The Vernon A.M.E Church and it's congregation on July 12, 1945. This church was built upon the foundation of the previous building destroyed in the Tulsa race massacre. Rebuilding was funded by donations due to lenders unwilling to give loans to black businesses and other black owned establishments, as well as there being no support from the city and state. Many of the donors were members of the church and had their names etched into the stained glass windows.

Member Spotlight:

Sis Marvina Larry

We proudly salute Sis Marvina Larry for her creativity, vision, and unwavering passion for serving our community starting right in Greenwood.

Through her initiative, Bulk Buy Pals, she is creating real pathways for families to save money and access essential goods with dignity and ease.

Sis Marvina began developing this impactful business in 2025, recognizing early that rising inflation and tariffs would put increasing pressure on everyday household costs.

By December 2025, Bulk Buy Pals became an official LLC, and in April 2026, she expanded her reach by joining the Black Wall Street Chamber of Commerce.

Her vision was simple but powerful create a system where individuals, small families, retirees, and community members especially those in Tulsa could benefit from bulk purchasing without the typical barriers.

Bulk Buy Pals makes it possible for neighbors and local groups to come together, purchase thoughtfully curated bundles of essential items, and enjoy meaningful savings without waste or inconvenience.

With a strong focus on communities like North Tulsa, this initiative is about more than savings it is about empowerment, access, and connection.

💡 Who does this serve?
Individuals, small families, and retirees who want practical, affordable ways to stretch their dollars while staying connected to their community.

“Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33

There are levels to levels, and as we move forward into our season of “Greater Works”, let us commit to listen, learn, grow, and become stronger for a time such as this.

Amen.

May the Lord cover everyone attending services this weekend and prepare them to receive during this Holy Convocation and provide the feast we will receive, that we may use it to serve others who cannot attend.

We pray traveling grace and mercies for you all in the name of Jesus. And we shall continue praying and covering everyone, forsaking not the assembling of ourselves together Hebrews 10:25, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Our best is yet to come!

Hallelujah

We are honored to celebrate and support Rev. Ain Martin as she hosts a beautiful event recognizing and uplifting women who have done the work. The event will be held at Peters Chapel AME Church in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

This is a powerful moment to come together in faith, love, and appreciation for the strength and impact of women in our communities.

Your presence and support would truly mean so much. We hope to see you there!
