Sometimes the prayer we’re quickest to pray is, “God, get me out of this.”

But what if we changed the question?
“God, what do You want me to get out of this?”

The circumstances we would never choose can still be places where God is at work. When our prayer shifts from asking God only to change our situation to asking Him to change us, we begin to see our circumstances differently.

Whatever you’re walking through today, consider asking: How might God be using this to make me more like Christ?

🎀 Come on, Barbie, let’s go… to Memory Café!

Join us for September’s Memory Café as we welcome Barbie collector Nancy Henderson Long for Mid-Life Surprise: How an Elusive Dress Led to a Fabulous Collection.

What began with a childhood Barbie—and one outfit that never arrived—eventually grew into a fascinating collection and a hobby that has brought Nancy connection, discovery, and plenty of stories along the way. She’ll share some of her favorite finds, what makes certain Barbies rare or valuable, and even bring several special dolls from her collection for us to see!

☕ Memory Café is a welcoming monthly gathering for individuals experiencing early-stage health or cognitive concerns, along with a companion. Enjoy conversation, engaging programs, and time together in a relaxed environment. All are welcome, and there is no cost to attend.

Serving families through practical acts of care. ❤️

Earlier this month, a team traveled to Monroe, Louisiana, with Send Relief, partnering with Victory Baptist Church to serve a local foster family and help make their home a more comfortable and stable place for the four children in their care.

Our team tackled projects throughout the home—replacing flooring, installing interior doors, making electrical improvements, updating light fixtures, assembling furniture, and more.

Sometimes ministry looks like a new floor, a repaired door, or a piece of furniture put together with care. We’re grateful for the volunteers who used their time and skills to serve this family and support the ongoing work of those caring for foster children in their community.

Thank you to everyone who served and prayed for our Monroe team! ❤️

101,304 meals packed! 🙌🌎

What an incredible day of serving together! Sunday, 465 volunteers came together to pack 469 boxes—101,304 meals for children through Feed My Starving Children. That’s enough food to help feed 277 children for an entire year. 🙌

From unloading and setup to packing, praying, cheering, and cleaning it all up, we’re so grateful for every person who gave their time and energy to make this day possible.

There’s something special about seeing generations of our church family working side by side to meet a very real need around the world. ❤️

Thank you, church family, for showing up and serving so well!

A new school year is almost here at First Steps Preschool! 🍎✏️

Our teachers kicked things off with Meet the Teacher this morning, and we’re so excited to welcome our preschool families back for another year of learning, growing, and lots of fun! ❤️

And there’s still room for one more smiling face in this photo! We’re currently looking for a teacher to join our First Steps team in our 2-year-old classroom.
