🧸✨ The Caring Center Toy Corner needs a little restocking!

These two helpers checked the shelves this week and noticed we’re running low on small toys, books, and treasures for kids. The good news? This is an easy way to make a big difference for a child visiting the Caring Center.

We’re collecting:
🎲 Small toys
📚 Children’s books
🧩 Games and activity items
🧸 Gently used toys in good condition

Donations can be dropped off at the during the week or on Sundays for the Caring Center.

In a world full of noise, opinions, and endless information, it’s easy to become overwhelmed, distracted, or discouraged.

This week, Deron reminds us that darkness is disorienting, but Christ is our light. Instead of fixating on everything that causes confusion and chaos, we are called to be clear-minded, rooted in Scripture, and anchored in hope.

God created this world. Sin has broken it. But there is hope in Christ.

We don't need to panic—we need to keep our eyes on the Light.

📣 Deron's Midweek Update | June 3

Hey friends! Here’s a quick look at what’s coming up at FBC this month:

• Newly & Nearly Married Class begins this Sunday, June 7 at 9:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. No sign-up needed — just show up! If you’d like more information, contact Seth King or visit our website.
• Women’s Gathering & Men’s Summer Book Groups launch June 10. The women’s gathering will meet in the evening, and men are invited to a free lunch at noon to learn more about this summer’s book studies and groups.
• Vacation Bible School is coming June 15–19! This is one of the biggest weeks of the year at FBC, and we can’t wait for kids to learn about Jesus, the Light of the World. If you haven’t registered your child yet, sign up online so we can be ready for them!

📖 This week, Deron encouraged us to spend time in Proverbs 19 and reflect on what it means to live wisely in our relationships with God, others, and ourselves.

A few reminders from this chapter:
• Take responsibility for your own actions instead of blaming others or blaming God.
• Don’t be easily offended — extending grace can strengthen relationships.
• Listen well, accept wisdom, and be willing to learn.

“Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise.” — Proverbs 19:20

Every number tells a story. 💙

In the month of May alone, our Caring Center served:

🥫 384 households
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 931 people represented
🛍️ 1,225 sacks of groceries distributed

Our clothing ministry also provided 3,048 clothing items to 826 household members, including:
• 182 pairs of shoes
• 805 tops
• 558 jeans and pants
• Hundreds of pairs of socks and underwear

And the impact continues throughout 2026:

✨ 977 households served
✨ 4,421 people represented
✨ 5,753 sacks of food distributed
✨ 904 hygiene bags provided

We are so grateful for every volunteer, donor, and servant-hearted person who helps make this ministry possible. Through simple acts of care and generosity, lives are being touched and needs are being met across our community.

Thank you, church family, for helping us be the hands and feet of Jesus. ⛪️

🎶 Tonight was our annual Youth Choir concert! Please be praying for our Youth Choir as they prepare to leave for Oregon this Saturday. 🙏🏻

This group of 43 students and adults will be leading an entire worship service during their trip, including a message from our summer intern, Adin Costanzo. They’ll also be serving their community through projects like helping at a food bank and singing at a retirement home.

We’re grateful for these students and leaders who are using their gifts to worship, serve, and share the love of Christ wherever they go. Join us in praying for safe travels, meaningful connections, and hearts that are encouraged and changed through this trip. 💙

There’s something special about walking alongside families through the seasons of life. 💙

This weekend, Deron had the joy of officiating the wedding of Chase Martin and Isabella Domeck — but the story goes back much further than that.

Deron dedicated Chase as a baby in 2004, baptized him in 2012, and now had the privilege of standing beside him again as he entered into marriage on May 22, 2026.

What a beautiful reminder of the gift of a church family — growing together through milestones, memories, and moments that are so special. 🥹

Congratulations to Chase and Isabella! We are praying for you as you begin this new chapter together. 🎉 And thank you to Shannon for this fun collage! ☺️
