PRAY FOR YOUR PASTOR 🙏
Ministry is not easy. Behind the smile, the preaching, the counseling, the visitation, and the constant encouragement of others, there may be a pastor quietly carrying battles that many people never see.
Your pastor also gets tired. Your pastor also feels discouraged. Your pastor also faces criticism, disappointment, pressure, and moments when the burden feels too heavy. Yet many pastors continue serving because they love God and they love the people God entrusted to them.
So please, don’t only look to your pastor when you need something. Pray for your pastor even when you don’t need anything.
Pray for strength when he is exhausted.
Pray for wisdom when difficult decisions must be made.
Pray for protection over his mind, heart, marriage, and family.
Pray for courage when ministry becomes painful.
Pray for grace when people misunderstand him.
Pray that God will renew his passion when he feels empty.
Pray that he will remain humble, faithful, teachable, and obedient to God's Word.
And when you have the opportunity, encourage your pastor. A simple “Pastor, we are praying for you,” “Thank you for serving,” or “Keep going, God is with you” may mean more than you realize.
Never underestimate the power of a praying church. Your pastor may be the one standing in front of you preaching the Word, but he still needs people standing behind him in prayer.
Let us not be a church that only receives from our pastor. Let us become a church that covers our pastor in prayer.
Because pastors carry people in prayer every day—
sometimes, they need someone to carry them too.
🙏 Pray for your pastor. Encourage your pastor. Support your pastor. And most importantly, ask God to strengthen him for the calling He has given him.
“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.” — Matthew 9:37
Don’t wait until your pastor breaks down before you realize how much he was carrying. Pray for him today. 🙏❤️
