We are 5 days away from Christmas and you can feel the excitement in the air. As we approach one of the greatest days of the year let us remember the reason we celebrate.

JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON.
The arrival of Jesus on earth marked the world for the rest of human existence.

“And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger” - Luke 12:2

“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel”-1. Isaiah 7:14

During this Christmas season may we be filled with HOPE and the very gift that brought us all life….JESUS

We can always be assured that God has a plan and purpose for our life. When we feel that we have lost our way, let us be reminded that he is working behind the scenes.

Scripture says,”And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose”-Romans 8:28

Our prayer for you is that you would know that he is for you! Regardless of what happened to you or, what you’ve done…he is still working it ALL out for good.
We can be confident that he is a good God who loves us and is for us.

Hands down one of the most convicting passages of Scripture are the very words Jesus Spoke about loving our enemies.

““You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”Matthew 5:43-48 NIV

During this holiday season, I pray that we would have the courage to love our enemies. That we would advance the kingdom by laying down our pride and having a soft heart towards those who persecute us. It is impossible to do this on our own strength but, through the power of the holy spirit we can conquer even the impossible.

The holiday season is upon us and with Thanksgiving Day around the corner let’s remember to GIVE THANKS for all Jesus has done for us .

“I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds”-Psalm 9:1 (NIV)

Praying that in this season we would not lose sight of what Jesus has already done for us. It is through his sacrifice of “giving his life” that we can freely live in the freedom of Grace and Mercy. Thank you Jesus!

Let today be a reminder of WHY JESUS is worthy of our praise.

Jesus is our strength
Jesus is our fortress
Jesus is our deliverer
Jesus is our shield
Jesus is our refuge
Jesus is our salvation
Jesus is our stronghold

“I love you, Lord, my strength. “The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. “I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies.”(Psalm 18:1-5)

May your lips be filled with praise and may gratitude be overflowing in your heart FOR HE IS WORTHY.

Godly Wisdom is the KEY to navigating life.
The Word of God is filled with wisdom that we can take, apply and use in our day to day lives.
Proverbs is the BOOK to read when collecting wisdom from the Bible.

Here are a few scriptures from the book of proverbs that we’ll enrich, and propel your life into fruitfulness.

“Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise.”

“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”

Praying that these scripture would sharpen us, and empower us.

The love of God for us ( for humanity) has the capacity to leave us filled to the measure of all Fullness of God.

Scripture states this ““from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”
(Ephesians 3:15-19 NIV)

My prayer for you is the same as Paul’s. May God give us the strength and power through his spirit to dwell within GOD. May he give us the ability to experience the fullness of GOD. May this lead us into Godly encounters, moments of radical boldness and the ability to love one another as God entended us to do so.

One of the things I love about Jesus is that he is a FINISHER. In other words,he finishes what he begins.

“He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ”Philippians 1:6

With this in mind, we can be CONFIDENT that JESUS is not finished with us! May you be reminded that the promise that he’s given you is on its way! In times of doubt and frustration remind your spirit that he is faithful, that he is a keeper over his word.

I pray that while we wait we would wait with full expectation because Jesus is moving and shifting all the pieces into place.

Deus Tucson let us be reminded to PRAY.
In these times of great chaos, fear and heartbreak around the world for what is going on, we need to pray without ceasing .
We need to remember that above all OUR GOD is in control. This is a time to rise up to our post, be on guard as the people of God. Let us rise up fearless knowing that GOD Is sovereign.
If you are feeling weak, sadness and fearful for what has unfolded here are some things you can access 🔑

As a believer we have the responsibility to understand that there is POWER over the words we say. Scripture states this “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” (Proverbs 18:21 NIV)

Our prayer for today would be that you speak life over your circumstances, your lives and over the lives of our brothers and sisters in Christ. Let’s continue to hold ourselves accountable to using our words for LIFE.

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound..”Isaiah 61:1

Today we are reminded that we have been anointed to Bring GOOD NEWS. We are the instruments that God wants to use to bring freedom, healing and wholeness. We have the Power to partner with Jesus to make an impact wherever we go or find ourselves.
So wherever you find yourself the next few days I encourage you to have eyes to see where you can speak life into a situation, or be able to share Jesus with someone. Believing that many will be used to bring life.

Happy Sunday Deus Tucson!
These last few weeks of Prayer and Fasting have been unbelievable. God has been doing a new thing within our lives and in our community.
We are so thankful for everyone that joined us on this remarkable journey.
Although, these few days of this fast have ended our posture for prayer and the presence of God remain the same. We are excited to continue to keep praying and keep believing for what’s next in this season.
