Senior adults and their friends are invited to a refreshing afternoon of inspiration, encouragement, and outstanding music at Oasis Birmingham on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at First Baptist Church Trussville.

We are excited to welcome Sandi Patty, one of Christian music’s most beloved and award-winning artists, as our featured guest. Known for her powerful voice and heartfelt ministry, Sandi Patty has inspired audiences around the world for decades, and this promises to be a very special event.

A group of our wonderful SAM volunteers spent time serving at Jimmie Hale Mission last week, helping deliver snacks and personal care kits before serving dinner to guests. ❤️

Small acts of kindness can make a big difference, and we’re grateful for these faithful servants who continue to share the love of Christ through their time, generosity, and caring hearts.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening so special for the men served by the mission. What a beautiful reminder that serving others is one of the greatest joys of ministry.

This week at our SAM luncheon, we had the honor of recognizing Debbie Arrington for an incredible 30 years of service at First Baptist Church Trussville.

Debbie serves as Bob Smith’s administrative assistant, but she is so much more than that to our Seasoned Adult Ministry. She keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes, cares deeply for our people, and—if you’ve been around FBCT for any length of time—she probably knows your name!

We presented Debbie with a small token of our appreciation, but it hardly reflects the impact she’s made over the years. Her dedication and faithful service are a true blessing to our church family.

Congratulations, Debbie, and thank you for 30 wonderful years!
