Encounter God’s Heart…
A Place to Rest

In the kingdom of heaven, Christ prepares a place for us. There is room for all who come to him. Far be it from us to think that he would say one thing and do another. He is always faithful. The kingdom of Christ is not exclusive. It is open to all who come to him. He will never turn away a seeking heart.

Even when we struggle to find rest in this life, there is a place of eternal rest in the presence of the Father. When we graduate from this life, we enter into the actual fullness of the kingdom of our God. He graciously gives glimpses of this peace in our fellowship with the Spirit, who lives inside us. Even so, we cannot escape the trials of this life. One day, we will be free from pain, worry, sickness, and death. This is the place of rest that Christ prepares for us even now.

Jesus, thank you for the open invitation to your kingdom. I come to you with a heart that needs reprieve. Meet me with the peace of your presence even as my hope looks forward to the fullness that is yet to come.

I Hear His Whisper...
My ways are better.

My child, as long as you have been drawing breath, I have seen your growth in every stage of your development. When you took your first steps, I was as proud as your parent who coaxed you. I have delighted when you discovered new ways to think about things. Who does not take joy in their children who grow into their own?

Yet what brings me even more joy is when you listen to my words of wisdom and heed my advice. They are neither empty nor do they seek to control or hem you in. I see from a different vantage point. My eyes take in every detail and the grand scope of your life as well as how it connects to those around you. I have good, good plans for you. I will not lead you somewhere I have not already gone. I am always with you. Though you cannot comprehend the enormity of my love, it is your covering all the days of your life. Spend time tuning in to my heart today. What you find will elevate your own thinking.
